I have been going here for three years now I leave good tips I’ve tipped their son 50$ every time I have gone there we are literally Facebook friends with him and have him on other social media platforms as well. The one time I leave a 15% tip the lady that was waiting insisted that I had added more money to her tip literally forcing my husband to tip her more money I have had so many troubled experiences with this one older lady with short brown hair I personally think they should get rid of her she is very rude and clumsy she dropped silverware on my father and he just tried to help clean it up when she gave him terrible attitude everybody else there is absolutely great but I just don’t understand how this one lady still has her job after three years of forcing people to leave her bigger tips, being clumsy, pushy, rude, and very unprofessional. I know they have all been watching how she treats their customers and they still insist on keeping her which honestly makes me upset at even the good ones for not standing up for us customers. Overall after going for three years straight due to them being my favorite I think I won’t be going anymore and my husband said he for sure isn’t anymore as well it’s crazy how a waiter can ruin such a great experience in the blink of an eye your needed extra money has lost a lot of money for your guys business in the long run from my household. I literally tip this woman to treat me like dirt the whole time I get my food. Not cool. Now I need to find a new place to go and I will no problem. I have had this tip thing she does happen to me way to many times now I can count three different occasions where my tables tip for her was never good enough so I will never tip or give them any of my money ever again if that is going to be the case. If I weren’t leaving a tip that would be different I’d be upset too but I did and do always even if it isn’t the biggest one in the world it’s accepted for the percentile perspective of tipping in this world always. I’m finally fed up with how she has been treating my husband and I as long term customers so I am officially putting an end to it on behalf of respecting ourselves and knowing our value in life and if I’m paying for your food especially the prices I pay I deserve respect just like I give you. Tell that woman thank you you guys have lost two very very local and loyal customers due to...
Read moreI recently visited Camden Island Restaurant with high expectations, but unfortunately, my experience was marred by very bad customer service and a rude attitude displayed by the staff. While the food was good, the overall dining experience left much to be desired.
Firstly, the service was incredibly slow, and it seemed as though the staff were more engaged in chatting amongst themselves than attending to the customers. I found it frustrating to wait for extended periods before anyone paid attention to our table or took our orders.
Moreover, the demeanor of some staff members was unacceptable. Their dismissive and impolite attitude towards customers was evident, making the atmosphere uncomfortable and unwelcoming. This lack of basic courtesy and respect for patrons greatly affected the overall ambiance of the restaurant.
On a positive note, the food served at Camden Island Restaurant was delicious. The menu offered a variety of tasty dishes, and the chef's skills were evident in the flavors presented. However, it's important to remember that good food alone cannot compensate for a disappointing customer service experience.
In conclusion, I regret to say that I cannot recommend Camden Island Restaurant based on my recent visit. While the food was enjoyable, the slow service and rude attitude of the staff overshadowed any positive aspects. I hope the management takes these criticisms constructively and works towards improving their customer service, as it plays a crucial role in shaping diners' overall impressions of the...
Read moreWish we could join the other 5 star reviews, but we did not have a 5 star experience. On the positive side, the décor is very ambitious for a Camden eatery, most of our food was very good, and the value was good. BUT three of us were dining in, and our meals were served one at a time, at least ten minutes apart. That meant that the first person served was almost through before the last person served started. The only explanation given was that they had a lot of take out orders.
Still, we all ordered the dinner specials, which come with an egg roll and pork fried rice. We had sweet and sour chicken, garlic beef, and beef and broccoli... nothing that requires special preparation like Duck.
I have to say the egg roll was one of the best I've had anywhere, and generally we liked the food. But the sweet and sour chicken had a lot of batter around the chicken, came with maraschino cherries on it, and the person who ordered it had severe heartburn that night...maybe just coincidence.
We did not try the drinks, aside from a glass of wine, but they offer things like a Zombie for $7.50. I think my next trip back may be to sit at the bar and have a Zombie and an order of egg rolls.
The restaurant apparently just opened this month (July 2018) so it would appear that they are still getting there act together... and for that reason, and the other positive reviews, I'm rating 4 stars. but our particular experience was honestly closer to...
