We stayed at 16 Bay View in August and it rained during our stay (which we were totally ok with coming from hot TX). There are complimentary umbrellas to use which was convenient. Even though we had a short 1 night stay, we enjoyed the facilities. We were able to message the front desk prior to arrival to confirm that we could check in early. The parking is a little tough as it is shared parking lot with a brewery and restaurant. Our room overlooked the marina and it would have been great to sit outside with a cup of coffee in the morning! There is a little closet that hods the Keurig machine, microwave, mini fridge, and ice bucket. The room was spacious and had just enough room for 2 people. The bathroom was well stocked with towels and even had an option to warm the floors. The bathtub is huge! I liked the many options in the shower for the water direction (waterfall, front, or handheld). I liked that the waterfall option was angled as well as the front - aims toward the chest, not the eyes! The hotel is conveniently located in town - you can walk to many restaurants as well as the very cute library in town. We actually walked to Rockport for dinner but please note it is rather difficult to get ride share services (Uber/Lyft) so we had to call a local taxi company. I would definitely stay here again during our next trip to Camden!

We had a great stay for an overnight in Camden and were able to bring our dog along. Having a dog friendly option for a stay is great as it eliminated the need of us to board her just get away for a night. Getting to the hotel is simple as its right in the center of town and easily located. The check in was simple and our dog was welcomed with treats and her name on a little dry erase board to greet her like a special guest. The rooms are great. We did a deluxe suite so it was much nicer than a standard hotel room. The bedroom had a large closet with robes and a safe, a dresser and nice large bed facing a fire place and television. Off the bedroom was a nice seating area with a sofa, chairs, and tv/fireplace as well. The balcony was nice to be able to sit on and enjoy a little bit of a view. Being first floor, you couldn't really see over the other buildings but you could see the tower on Battie and some of the ocean. While Camden isn't quite hopping in mid April yet, we enjoyed sitting out for a bit. The bathroom was impressive. Double vanity, large bubble jet tub and multi option shower system. The staff was very friendly and we enjoyed our stay. Will be back again in the future.

Visited in off-season wintertime. It was actually a nearly perfect hotel room for winter given the room amenities of the fireplace, and an enormous Jacuzzi tub were ideal for the cold weather! We brought our dog, a $50 per pet fee, the welcome pet email was a bit deceptive in terms of the expected provisions. I would never expect a hotel to give a dog bed or bowl, but when you ask for the dog’s weight and say they will be provided, please do follow through! Especially if you then hand out rules only on arrival that says you should bring your own towel to wipe the dog’s paws and keep the dog off the bed. We stayed on Saturday night, and the only complaint is that it was very loud with Cuzzy’s karaoke going until 1am. We would probably try the partner grand Hotel next door next time just to avoid the noise. Also note that if you book directly with the hotel parking will be free, through a third-party, it will be $15 a night, luckily, I had VIP status on a vendor website and it was waived, but I did not think that was very transparent.

Wanted to love this place. Based on the price I was expecting something special. Gosh it just wasn’t. Let’s start with the positive- beds were very comfortable. If being right in town is important to you then the location is ideal. Rooftop lounge is lovely. Now for the not so great. I paid over $500 per night for this room. I have stayed in other $500+ rooms before and this is by far the least deserving of the rate. Room did not seem clean. I dropped something on the floor and under the bed was absolutely disgusting. Very dusty and littered with previous guests trash. Our sink was 100% clogged. There is black mold in the bottom corners of the shower and I had to grab and throw away what appeared to be a clump of hair out of the bottom of the shower the first time I entered. One night after a long hike I thought I would take a bath - well maybe not- no plug in the tub- We only made the reservations a few nights before our arrival and only upon arrival did we find out the rooftop Bar was closed for a private event. And the following evening the downstairs location was closed. Finding parking was terrible. There are just a handful of spots that look dedicated to the hotel and I’m not sure they are policed. So you are competing with everyone downtown for a spot. We Said good morning to the person at the front desk and just got a frown and glare. There was the occasional employee that was pleasant and welcoming ….they were almost surprising. So there you have it. If you going at a time the rates are $200- then maybe you will be fine with the place. I on the other hand feel like I was terribly overcharged for the quality and experience.

16 Bay View was perfect for our 2 night stay in Camden. We had an ocean view room with a balcony that was perfect. Nicely decorated, it had a gas fireplace, nice traditional furniture, and a gorgeous large bathroom full of marble and a fabulous deep jetted tub for me to relax. A beautiful property and a lovely room with a nice view and a super comfortable bed and that's where it ended.

I'm very surprised no one has written a review that told of how atrocious their parking situation is. You better have a mini cooper or a Fiat to get into the spots behind the hotel, they are small, narrow, and on an angle. There was nothing available when I arrived, on their website they state you can park anywhere behind the hotel. The gift shops and restaurant that are located there have signs that you canNOT! Also if you find a narrow parallel spot behind the hotel, you cannot drive into it if you enter after the hotel on Bay View Landing. You need to enter before the hotel on Commercial street and then take a right. Again, an email should've been sent stating this.

I paid extra to stay on the top floor with the ocean view, it also would've been nice if the hotel told me upon check in, that there would be TONS of noise in the afternoon when they were setting up their rooftop bar. Coming back to rest before dinner after a long day was impossible.

I walked back to the inn at 2:30pm and asked if my room was ready. I was told, yes yeah it's been ready for awhile, the girl at the desk who checked me said she would text me when it was and THAT NEVER HAPPENED.

Finally when I checked out, the person at the front desk just took my keys, never said drive safely, did you have a good time, anything we could do better? Very disappointing experience all...
