China Taste — Restaurant in Camden

I ordered on line for takeout. My frequent choice in Chinese restaurants is house special chow mein. That's what I ordered here. I arrived at the time that the website said to arrive.

There was a sign that said that parking was in the rear. The front door was locked from the outside. I hope it can be opened from the inside. Otherwise it would be a code violation and a danger in case of fire at the rear of the venue. The rear is where you enter and exit, and it's where the kitchen is located.

There was plenty of free parking. My house special chow mein was disappointing compared to the house special chow mein in the other Chinese restaurants in Pikesville. They don't give as much chow mein,, and they don't put in as much of the various kinds of meat as do their nearby...

Ordering online was pretty easy. You can't put your card payment in, you have to pay in person. The girl at the register was abrupt, bordering on rude. 3 of us ordered bourbon chicken, 1 ordered orange chicken. Then we ordered spring rolls, veggie fried rice, cheese wontons, and shrimp fried rice. 1 ate the bourbon chicken and thought it was ok, 1 ate the orange chicken and said it was good. The other 2 took a couple bites of bourbon chicken and threw it away. The veggie fried rice and shrimp fried was very bland and sauces didn't help. The spring rolls were just slime on the inside and we couldn't eat them. I think a few of the cheese...

For years this was our go-to Chinese restaurant. Yesterday, we ordered and both the food and price were bad. My wife and I each ordered full meals from the menu, but we only received one small carton of rice. Was this an intentional way to cut costs? The wonton soup is the worst in the area. No strips of pork, and the wontons were limp and way overcooked. Overall, the food was largely tasteless and the price was $44. Something has happened to this restaurant. Either they have new people preparing the food, or they are using inferior ingredients and overcharging. We will not be back, sadly. This used to be our favorite...
