My mom my son and I went to this place yesterday. I had called ahead to check about the menu and the buffet and it gave me all the things the buffet was supposed to have on it for that day. We get there and there's no buffet so we look at the menu and decide we'll go ahead and eat there anyway. There wasn't very many options for my mom who is vegetarian. I ordered the Philly cheese steak and a salad. My mom got Alfredo and hush puppies and white beans for a side My son got a New York strip and french fries and salad The salad bar was okay but when we got our food my mom took one bite of her alfredo and could not eat it she said it had a horrible bitter taste to it so my son tried a bite and he said the same thing so that wasn't eatable and then when we told the waitress about it she got kind of snippy about it and took the Alfredo and took it back to the kitchen but then came out there and informed my mother that her manager had said they could replace it with something else but they cannot take it off her ticket and this was a $15 item. My son said his steak didn't really taste good because of the butter garlic butter or something they had on it the ya no A1 sauce like he was told they did they had numerous empty bottles though. but he ate about half of it anyway He's been sick ever since yesterday . My Philly steak sandwich had a very garlic taste and we all love garlic so if any of us say it's too much it really is. The whole meal all together was like $75. The sweet tea that my mom and I had you could have read a newspaper through there was hardly any tea to it at all We did not even get offered a refill once she complained about her food. When it was time to pay this high bill the waitress just automatically put herself a almost $15 tip on the bill and said something about leaving a tip when my mom said I'm not leaving a tip she took it off so my mother being elderly would not have noticed the stiff necessarily if she hadn't been really paying attention. Very poor way to run a business when you Will not take an item off when you have plainly said you cannot eat it if it's about enough you can't eat it at all then it should be taking off your bill. We will not be back and I do not recommend anybody...
Read moreWell folks ... I'm back again and have recently checked out the burgers at a new restaurant, The Country and Western Steakhouse in Camden Tn. I was greeted warmly when I barely had my nose in the door! I liked that! Is a spacious, clean and pleasant dining area and I couldnt help notice their health inspection of 99!! That's hard to do and I know from personal experience as I operated a cafe for 7 yrs. They have a great menu from soup to nuts..so to speak. Being a big fan of hamburgers, I ordered a double cheeseburger with extra grilled onions, tomato and lettuce with a side of fries extra crispy. I have to say that it took 25 minutes for my order to come out but my delightful waitress kept my drink filled so it wasn't bad. When my order came out it was a sight to behold! It had 4 burger patties with the cheese beautifully melted all down the side of the burger enhancing the the presentation in a very appealing way. The fries were nice and crispy and The generous order tasted GOOD. BTW when the waitress brought my order out it recieved several oooo's and ahhhh's from other patrons. It was truly a sight to behold. With my first bites I knew that the wait was well worthwhile! The patties were wonderfully caramelized and the onions were as well. Needless to say I couldn't finish it. And as I was putting it in a to go box the waitress came by the table with a large tray of pie slices and announced it was "free pie Wednesday"!! I was delightfully surprised and chose the coconut cream pie. Again they hit the ball out if the park!! It was very tasty... And... Free!! It just doesn't get and better than that! So to sum up I have to give the Country and Western Steakhouse a score of 5 stars!! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Folks... "I just don't git no better than this!!!" Also every order I saw come out looked marvelous!! A truly GREAT place to bring your family for a reasonably priced high...
Read moreThe server and decor was the only redeeming part of this restaurant...
The hostess seated us next to the server-station, which led to a server coming behind my husband's back, and talking with other servers. It was very awkward place to be seated. Not to mention, he said one of the waitresses kept staring at him, which naturally made him uncomfortable.
My husband had the blackened catfish. The portion was considerably small compared to the price. It came atop rice that came out cold and crusty. He was not overly excited about the side of coleslaw, which without the vinegar pooled at the bottom he thought it was rather flavorless.
I had the mushroom, onion and swiss burger. Let me tell you something, this is my go-to meal. Whenever I'm out, and I can't find anything else on the menu I want, this is what I get...This burger came out bone DRY. It was a good sized burger, however it lacked seasoning, natural juices and even condiments that could have given it a boost of flavor. Somehow, the mushrooms and onions lacked flavor as well. I had to put ketchup on it just to choke it down. The fries were good, but you could buy some frozen at the grocery store, and make them at home just as easily. My daughter had garlic shrimp over angel hair pasta. The shrimp still had the tails, which was confusing it being a meal needing utensils. The pasta was watery, over-cooked and flavorless. She said the shrimp itself was good.
The floor was sticky throughout the restaurant (including the restroom), and we concluded it must have been mopped with dirty water.
As I said, the server was good, and overall it had a nice esthetic...just with everything else, we've decided we...
