The BBQ is excellent but the quality of the owners/employees are truly good folks. My mother and I was there and was speaking to a man who we had just found out had to relocate due to loosing everything to the waverly flood the day before. He spoke of how fortunate he was because he had a place to go as he was now staying with his son. As he went to pay ( before any of us could get up to offer) the manger insisted it was on the house. The staff memebers at the Shack are friendly and efficient. In the years I have been eating there, they have never made a mistake on our orders. I love the pulled pork sandwhich with mild sauce and cole slaw. My son loves their Frachos, and our daughter's boyfriend loves their hamburgers. AND the ribs are to die for. The ribs are so tender the meat falls off the bone, and the flavor is so good that we fight over who gets the last one. We loved this place! I am surprised it wasn't busier. A true gem! The blond haired girl (I'm so sorry I don't remember her name) was fantastic and wrote a really sweet note to us with our to go desert order. We loved the frichos (fry nachos) and the BBQ plate and the jalapeño poppers. I generally don't love crinkle fries but the rest of the plate was so good I didn't even notice.
