We are at R. J. Restaurant. we visit the restaurant on a regularly some of us live here. Never!!!! Had a waitress with a attitude. When they went to seated they laid menus on table and walked away. We passed out our party of 7 menus and silverware. Then waited 10 minutes before she came and ask like to drink. Left to get the drinks back to take orders. After that she didn't ask if we needed refills . We got her attention and ask for coffee and hot tea etc. We was seated at 10 am and its 11:20 now. When I asked about our food she said, they told you it would be a long wait (which they didn't! ) She had a attitude (tone of voice) telling us this other customers was here before you. As she pointed to 4 tables. Yet behind us we saw other tables that came in behind us had already recieve their food. The food is good usually if don't have Buffett don't stay!!! ( when busy)This is my ice water notice ice has melted. Our food finally arrived , at 11:33, she brought the food and some was not correct . Myself, I ordered 1 egg, 1 sausage patty and 1 wheat toast. Came out 2 ea. When I said, sorry its not mine cause I only order 1 each. She said, so you don't want this. I said, no I would eat it all. Not what I ask for. 🤔 So, she took it back cut the eggs apart. Removed the other two. She corrected others beside mine, even 1 of our orders hadn't even been cooked yet (omelet) it was on the grill she had to wait luck had it that she something else to eat while waiting.so it not just mine. biscuit and gravy was returned it was cold.We all was so, hungry that we ate. My food was cold ate it anyway We all was so stressed Never again 😣 we, should have left earlier like we was thinking other customer did .We did complain they gave us business card and ask to...
Read moreWe live in Osage Beach, so even though RJ's is fairly close for us, it's a matter of being off the same day, we were this weekend, so off we went. We had been there once before and had been happy but this time, we were stoked! Our server Miss Gloria, was charming, friendly and efficient. We were seated a couple of minutes after we came in and given menus. My husband ordered a patty melt (B+) and it was even a bit pink in the middle which was a nice surprise, usually they have the heck cooked out of them and THEN they're grilled with the bread and cheese. Always on the search for the perfect pork tenderloin, I ordered the sandwich with the battered onion rings (up charge of $1.89) and well worth it. The rings were crispy and fairly hot, had they been served right out of the fryer, they would've been an A++. My tenderloin on the other hand was outstanding! The meat was tender and easy to eat, the crust was crunchy and the monster was HUGE. Look at my pics, I ain't lying! I had no idea that they made fried pies(under $2 each). As soon as I saw that, I ordered a peach one and although I don't believe it was freshly fried, it was still delicious and the crust was tender and flaky. The restaurant is spotlessly clean and had I had more room in my stomach, I might have ordered a slab of the red velvet cake. The owner is the one who checked us out and while not overly friendly, he was efficient and professional. If you've never been, you gotta go. If you already know this place...keep...
Read moreI was greeted by the blonde waitress first who would not tell me the cost of the buffet or what was on it. She just walked away after looking at me. I asked for a table and was told only a booth was available although other tables were available. I ordered a boneless chicken breast with two sides. The sides were not normal size. They were child size. The potatoes did not have gravy on them. They put gravy on the chicken when I asked them not to. The chicken was not chewable. It was so hard. Even a steak is more chewable. I had told the waitress when first ordering that I would get a sandwich to go home when I was done. When she took my plate back, I informed her I just didn't want any of their food nor to risk getting sick from improperly cooked food. On my way out the door the cashier said I could not leave even though she was informed what had happened. The other waitress came out telling me I had to pay. I said I had told her I did not want any otherorder. Then the manager comes out. I was not introduced to him or treated professionally or with respect. I had to ask him if he was the manager. He claims nothing could be wrong because he's been in the restaurant business a long time. Well, obviously not long enough to learn the customer is always right and treated respectfully and obviously not long enough to learn how to cook chicken. I was told I could not leave until I paid them. I was forced to pay for food I...
