Stop by to have lunch and we had the tenderloin sandwich which was very good. The staff is very friendly and the food came out fast and hot. We ordered the $9 cinnamon roll to go and as soon as we got it home we open it up to try it out, we have never had one. Upon opening I was very disappointed the cinnamon roll seem like it was very stale and hard, I cut it with a steak knife and crumbs were coming off of it. We put it in the microwave and that didn't even help. So the bottom line is is if you ever get a cinnamon roll to go check for freshness before you walk out of the restaurant. I called the restaurant the next day and told them about it and they seem not even to care. I waited to call him during their Slow Time in the morning and the only thing she said it's okay thank you goodbye.
I stopped by the restaurant two days later to get a fresh cinnamon roll and they had none. But they did give me a gift certificate to cover the cost of the cinnamon roll that I had purchased a couple days prior for the next time I go to...
Read moreThis Stewart's is on the west side of the lake and what a nice addition to Camdenton. We had a great breakfast there, the pork tenderloin is HUGE and very, very good. It's true, the place/decor is somewhat stark and plain, but we didn't go there to critique the furnishings.
Our food came in a timely fashion, our server was professional but not chatty and she refilled our drinks promptly. My husband has a breakfast sandwich that he said was as good as the ones I make him (WTH :-p) and he was stoked.
The cinnamon rolls are still the big 20 pounders like the ones in the original Stewart's, and like the original Stewart's, they are still too big and too tough. Oh well, I tried...everything else we had was legit.
Credit cards are accepted and the parking is a little tight, but otherwise, the food is 5 star for a...
Read moreThey advertise "the biggest cinnamon roll on the lake". They should mention that it's subject to delivery from their sister store at some point during the day. We arrived a little after 8 am on a Tuesday. You'd think after being open for an hour they'd have their big draw item available. That was immensely disappointing. We could have gotten over it had the rest of the food been really good
Unfortunately the rest wasn't really good. Their biscuits and gravy had hot spots and lukewarm spots. The French toast had lots of cinnamon which was refreshing but it was as if they intended the cinnamon to be the sole source of sweetness. It was lackluster. The bacon had a powerful smoky flavor which was off putting.
It was simply disappointing...
