I ate there Monday, 10/14/2024, and my bill was $33.00. It was twice as much as it had been before. The waitress said she had to charge each item as a side order. I explained that it is never done that way. It’s a plate order and never charged my food items separately. I called the restaurant once I got home to again question the charge. I told her that the charge should have only been $13. She then told me their prices had gone up. I said that couldn’t have been by that much. Then… show hung up on me. I was told by a friend that I shouldn’t let this stand. So I went back today. The same waitress was there along with the lady owner. The two of them spoke Spanish between themselves the whole time. I do t speak Spanish at all. Then the waitress said I was charged what I needed to be charged because it was the afternoon when I ate Monday. That the smaller fee of $13.00 was for the earlier time of day. NONSENSE! I even told the lady owner the waitress had hung up on me when I called. She didn’t look at me and said nothing about that. So, you may be confused by my score... All the food we had was great; the people were nice; and the atmosphere was relaxed and friendly. I had to knock my total score down from 5, because the building needs some renovations. I know some people might not give this place a try based on the curb-appeal, but miss out... We had the Fajitas, tacos, enchiladas, steak, rice, refired beans, charro beans, chips, and salsa. I can not list anything wrong with any of it. The pico, salsa, and guacamole were all fresh. A group of us went to eat here on a Sunday afternoon. I ordered a Botana which is a variety grilled plate. It had a quesadilla (arrived cold) fajita meats including beef (tough) chicken, shrimp. It came with refried beans, rice, guacamole. Dish had sufficient amount of food, but arrived mostly cold. I asked if they had fresh coffee and they said yes (didn't taste fresh). Wait staff were mostly friendly, but due to either being busy or understaffed we waited a very long time for our food to arrive. The section we sat in was not full of patrons.
