I went here for the first time yesterday. I'm a pad ped fanatic. Every thai place I go I get pad ped chicken medium. Some Thai restaurants medium is too hot for me, some too mild. Always, the eggplant is the part of the meal that I'm most excited about.
This restaurant was nothing like I expected. Every part was a surprise. Good and bad.
I had Pad Ped Catfish Medium. CAFTISH. I saw it and thought "that's too strange not to try." It was spectacular. The catfish was juicy and crisp, and it stayed crispy IN THE CURRY throughout the whole meal. The curry was so flavorful and unique. It made the rice alone delicious. The only disappointing part was the eggplant. While most Thai restaurants cook large chunks of eggplant into soft, flavorful vegetable steaks, this place apparently overcooks and overseasons many tiny shreds of eggplant skins and tosses them into the dish. They were chewy and didn't compliment the dish's flavor at all. Also, medium was a bit more mild than I've experienced on average.
But it's still a 5 star! The eggplant was hardly the star of the meal and that's fine with me. I can't wait to come back for more weird...
Read moreTo any spice lords out there, this place offers four levels of heat. None, mild, hot, and Thai. Anyone that wants to have an enjoyable kick of heat should find the 3rd level (hot) absolutely fine, if you want a challenge you can try Thai heat. It won't make you wail out in pain like a dab of Mad Dog or Da Bomb but it's enough to make you break into a sweat and get the tear ducts running.
The place has great Thai food for a decent price, anyone that's be to Thai food can always try the one of the gateways to the cuisine, Pad Thai and be completely satisfied both in taste and serving size. The other dishes are just as flavorful so you really can't go wrong.
Space isn't that big, enough to seat about three couples and three families but they offer take out if you'd prefer. I highly recommend the place for some good eating, especially if you're craving for something spicy. If ever you need something to wash it down? Definitely enjoy one of their bubble tea flavors, honeydew bring a...

We went on a Wednesday night for dinner around 8 o clock and it was completely dead, it was just us dining in. Didn’t see any takeaway orders or food deliveries services either so wasn’t sure if the place isn’t popular or the area wasn’t safe?
I walked in with my empty cup of Starbucks coffee and the server asked me to throw it away since outside food/drink isn’t allowed? Never heard of that, esp. when they didn’t sell coffee and my cup was empty anyway, just didn’t see a trash can to do it myself! Thought that was a bit unnecessary.
What we had:
-Tom Kha ($5.50) Good for 4 people! -Panang Curry w/ Chicken ($9.50) THE BEST!!! -Glass Noodles ($9.50) THE BEST!!!
Overall portion size were extremely generous and prices very unreasonable! Everything tasted great and service wasn’t bad either! Total for 3 was around $27!!!
Next time I’m in MI, will definitely be back to try more things...
