Cottage Inn Pizza North Canton — Restaurant in Canton Township

Normally this place is my wife and I's Go To Spot for pizza. She's gluten free and their gluten free crust is the best one in the area in her opinion. And normally I rave about it, but as is so often the case with reviews, people don't typically spend the energy to write a review when nothing goes wrong.

I got home with our pizzas and after 2 bites something was off that I just couldn't put my finger on, but the only way I can describe it was it just Tasted Bad. My wife said hers tasted different and not to her preference, and upon calling the store to inquire(maybe some ingredients were near expiration?) and the person on the phone said that their cheese had more cheddar mixed in.

Apparently, the way it works is they get their cheese shipped in from the mothership(so to speak) and just make the pizzas however they come, basically. So now they have to use up the cheese they received before they can, I guess get the old blend? I don't know whether they received this on accident or if they were trying out a cheaper option or what, but the fact remains I wasn't offered a remake(its the same cheese that I, evidently, didn't care for) and wasn't offered a refund. Instead they told me to call again in a few days after they ran out to try again.

So now I sit here with a bad pizza, no dinner, and no recourse. Normally this place is great, but jesus this was a rough experience compared to...

They don't even deserve one star in this review! The service is absolutely terrible!! My pizza is now soggy and cold because I had to drive back for a mistake on the employee and manager at the time. I ordered a pizza online and added extra cheese while choosing my toppings, I noticed it was not added on with my other topping when I got to my total, so while in the notes I asked for extra cheese please and thank you. When I went to pick my pizza up we asked for a receipt and were told we don't give receipts?? What place doesn't give receipts if asked for them? He said the only thing they give is pasted on the pizza box. Point is DONT GO HERE!!! THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF!!!!!!!! Even if it's a $1.50. My tax was 1.04 as sent to me in an email for my receipt with a flat total of $18 we asked for a receipt and was given nothing but the box receipt that said $18. So I will never be going back to cottage inn again!!!!! When I went in and asked for a credit for a new pizza because mine was cold or my $1.50 back the manager was rude and very unpleasant. I highly recommend choosing another location...

Had an unfortunate experience last weekend with this location. Placed a delivery order around 6:00PM and when we hadn’t received our food by 7:30 I called to see what was up. The young man that answered the phone didn’t seem concerned and said it had been logged as a pickup. He then said if I wanted a delivery I’d have to pay $3 more. But it was their mistake. Never mind that it had been an hour and a half since I ordered. I then asked for a refund and he said okay and hung up on me. I called back and asked for the manager. The same young man informed me he was out on deliveries and would call me when he returned. After a half hour and no call back I called again to find out the manager wasn’t even working that night. This time I spoke to Ryan who was polite and tried to be helpful but seemed overwhelmed. Seems like they could use more/better help. We will not be ordering...
