Sammy's Pizza — Restaurant in Canton Township

I absolutely love this Sammy's Pizza location!!!

I travel from Dundee, MI just because I know I'm going to get the best of the best at this specific location. The other day I mistakenly placed my order at another Sammy's location (I won't disclose which location) and I explained to them that I was going to be there 5-10 minutes before they closed and they basically told me to get there before that because they had a big catering order or something of that nature. I arrived to the Canton location and they were baffled about me placing an order, we discovered that I placed it elsewhere. Lexi and Rich were so great to me that 5 minutes before they closed they started my order with no hesitation. They definitely go above and beyond for their customers and this is one of the many reasons I travel so far to get to this Sammy's location. They were completely packed up for the night, everything wiped down and cleaned but when I explained what was going on they ensured that I was well taken care of. This place has great pizza. The delivery service is fast, the workers are friendly. I haven't been disappointed yet with the quality of the pizza and the service.

**Update: moving down to 2 stars due to the disregard for the executive order during the pandemic.

Employees were not required to wear face masks, customers were not requested to wear them upon entering the store, and a health screening process was never put in place.

Whether or not a mask or screenings are effective is not for the business owner to determine. As a member of a community it is importaht to display that you care about your employees and customers and follow state mandated health guidelines.

By not following through on these it seems that Sammys Pizza has no regard for potentually spreading Covid-19 to the staff and customers.

I am concerned about what other shortcuts Sammys takes in their service model.

The delivery service of this location is awful. It’s so unfortunate. For the longest time, we’ve been Sammy’s customers. But since September, we are waiting hours for good delivery. Today, I placed an order at 4:09pm. I was quoted 75 minutes for my order to arrive. I called three times and was told that my order would “be there in five minutes” and it didn’t show. The delivery person showed up at 5:41pm. The manager is claiming my wait time was accurately quoted. Instead of offering a discount or any type of customer service oriented gesture, the manager was rude and argumentative. My order is supposed to be refunded since I refused the order. We won’t be returning and I will definitely share with my neighbors not to give their business to this location. There are plenty of other pizza places to pick from...
