Stopped in while passing through Canton on my way home. First time dinning here. It was about 4 in the afternoon. I was greeted at the door and immediately seated. My order was taken right away. I wasn't real hungry so I decided to try a grilled cheese sandwich and a small bowl of the days soup, sweet & sour cabbage soup. Also a cup of coffee. Some of the best coffee that I've tasted in a long time and for only $1.90. The grilled cheese was very good, but nothing untypical. The soup was something very different though. It was fantastic and I could have easily had another bowl. I'd go back at some point just for the soup. The interior of the restaurant was very spacious and the seats of the chairs and benches were a very vibrant sparkly candy apple red, my favorite color. Very eye opening and cheerful. One thing on the menus that I found unique was instead of a child's menu it was called "Future Generations." On the wall to the right as you entered the restaurant was a framed advertisement for Tim Wells. Some people may not find the dead animal too appealing while dinning. I found it unusual. To each their own. I would differently stop back and...
Read moreBeing new to the area, this was my first experience at this establishment. The restaurant was neat and clean and the server was pleasant and attentive. The coffee cup was a bit small but the coffee was hot and the cup was kept full without the server hovering. The menu is extensive that it should cover the wishes of most anyone. The food was good with a couple of small issues. I had biscuits and gravy, eggs over easy, and sausage links. The biscuits seemed a little underdone in the middle and the sausage gravy was a bit bland for my taste. The sausage links were done but cool on the inside. The eggs were unacceptable to my way of thinking. With sixty years experience cooking at home, as fry cook in multiple restaurants as well as a few stints in the ship's galley in the Navy, I know how to cook eggs. Eggs with edges that are brown and crunchy with the whites barely opaque over the yolk are NOT over easy. I don't mean this review to be harsh and it doesn't mean I won't go back. My meal still quite edible and the restaurant a good choice for time, value, and...
Read moreThis little Café is so cute. It felt like my mama came back and made my breakfast when from when I was a child! Superb sausage gravy!!! We enjoyed a half of Horseshoe and my husband the Full Horseshoe. I loved seeing the family who had their children while working, a family who works together stays together, and is the part of what makes our country great! Thank you for the opportunity to walk back down memory lane. Yall have the best sausage gravy I've eaten in probably 30 yrs since my parents closed their resturaunt. I hope the very best for you and tell everyone I know go there and try it because the portions sizes, the friendly service, immaculate restroom, the family environment and my absolute favorite things were the beautiful family pictures on the wall. It's WELL worth the little drive off the main street through town for an AMAZING breakfast served hot, fresh, and with a slice of home, while a long ways from home. A million times loved this and will return EVERY time we are in town. Thanks for a wonderful experience in...
