Journey Canyon Coffee was a great surprise during our stop in Amarillo—exactly the kind of local gem you hope to find on a road trip. The service was fast, friendly, and genuinely welcoming, even with several customers ahead of us. It’s the kind of place that immediately feels like a community staple, and the cozy, casual vibe made it a perfect mid-morning stop. We ordered a cold brew and a chocolate milk, and both were spot-on. The cold brew was smooth and not overly bitter, which can be hard to find, and had a good balance of boldness and clarity. The chocolate milk (a pick for one of our kids) was creamy and rich—clearly made with quality ingredients, not just a powdered mix or syrup. It’s always nice when a coffee shop takes just as much care with non-coffee drinks as they do with their espresso menu. The space was clean and bright, with plenty of seating and a warm atmosphere. There was easy parking in front, and the entrance is accessible for strollers or wheelchairs. We didn’t stay long, but it’s the kind of place we’d absolutely return to for another cup and some downtime. Highly recommend if you’re passing through Amarillo and looking for a quick, quality coffee stop that’s not a chain. It also has a drive through!

Journey is one of the most welcoming coffee shops I’ve been to! Noah and Stephanie go out of their way to make sure that their customers not only receive the best quality coffee, they make sure that you feel at home and have a place to gather and connect with others. The patio and cornhole games are so much fun and make me feel like I’m sitting on my own patio with friends. And the coffee, can’t forget that! My personal favorite is their 1885. It’s a blend of cold brew coffee, Dr. Pepper, vanilla, and whipped cream. It’s as good as it sounds ❤️ And the

Conveniently located across from WT A&M First United Bank Center, this locally owned and operated coffee shop serves up great Java, pasties, breakfast and munch items. Prices are reasonable. Service is with a smile and gratitude. My wife enjoyed a seasonal Peppermint Mocha w/ Coco n whipped cream and I a seasonal hot apple cider with a carmel drizzle. She had a meat kolache (pig in the blanket) and we both had chopped pecan coffee cake. Well worth the stop.

Before I say anything I want to mention that the baristas are wonderful! They are so kind, and polite. I try and visit small coffee shops as I travel as much as possible. In all of my visits to different shops I’ve never been to one that was so expensive that didn’t match the quality of their coffee. It’s crazy what they charge, I understand that to survive as a business you must make the adequate amount of money, but you could at least ensure that the product is worth the amount that you pay for. It makes me sad to see a local shop that’s so greedy. The environment of the coffee shop isn’t interesting, so at the end of it all you sit down and drink a over priced coffee in a place that’s not all that interesting. I definitely could not recommend this coffee shop to anyone that wants a good cup of coffee or a latte. If you’re in the Amarillo/Canyon area I would highly recommend Palace coffee, great coffee for the price and...

It's just ok. The lattes are just that, nothing special but not bad either. Service feels very lacking. I have always gone through the drive but the questions about my drink are always weird. I ordered a plain macchiato (not a caramel macchiato like at Starbucks) once, they had no idea what it was. I also order my lattes at 190° and this is always questioned. And I had one girl roll her eyes. I used to work at a coffee shop as well, I'm positive I order my drink at 190°. Today I was questioned about a caramel hot chocolate. They asked if I wanted chocolate and caramel. Since I'm not sure if they create their HC with mocha sauce or a powder, I wasn't quite sure what they were asking. I just wanted a HC with caramel flavor added. How many pumps? I'm not sure, do you not as a coffee shop has a standard you follow for each drink to ensure every drink is crafted the same, unless specifically...
