Dollar General — Local services in Canyon

It is such a shame that they do not keep the store better staffed. There seems to be consistently u-boats full of boxed items needing to be stocked, on the sales floor. (which is also a safety hazard) It is an impossible task for the employees to be expected to be both helping customers in a way that reflects the good hearted, southern nature, of Canyon, TX, and try and stock full-time. IMPOSSIBLE. I understand why the employees often seem disgruntled or perturbed when they have to help someone. I would not be surprised if their performance was based on how much they stock versus their customer service skills. WHICH IS BACKWARDS. I hope that the manager and dollar general as a whole can help get this store staffed so that the employees can get some relief from the relentless, never ending chore of stocking and allow that staff to get to know their community and become a neighbor hood store to...

First of all, this place has the nastiest bathroom I have ever seen. Second, I went into this store to purchase a screw driver to change my burt out rear signal bulb on my SUV. We are from out of town and after changing out the bulb I needed to throw away the plastic from my screwdriver purchase and also the package for the bulb. I was told, even though I just bought an item from this store that I could not dispose of my few pieces of trash. I have no plans of ever making any kind of purchase from those store again. It's a dollar general. It's a little cramped compared to others I've been to but it gets the job done. My main complaint is staff. I feel like every other time I come in here there's someone new at the register. If they weren't behind the register you'd never be able to tell they work there as apparently uniforms are optional here. Staff wears whatever jeans, t-shirts and even hats that they want. If the staff had proper uniforms and they were at least mildly competent in their store this would be a fine...
