I’ll start by saying the coffee not being bad was what redeemed this place, but want to start by saying that this is a cafe/food place more than a coffee shop. Come here for the food- it was fairly busy and folks seemed to enjoy their meals/plates were cleaned and fully eaten by patrons.
I’ll also preference that I travel regularly for work, and come from a super competitive coffee background in Atlanta. I was looking for coffee, and when I saw Australian influence in the description, that peaked my interest as the Aussies know true specialty coffee. It wasn’t a true coffee shop, but I also can’t complain terribly. The coffee wasn’t bad. Our orders were correct. I would come here to try the food, but unfortunately I was just stopping by for coffee on my way out of the city. Maybe next time I’ll stay for the food.
Don’t come here expecting massive flavor preferences as they only do sugar, honey, or agave in your lattes. He later put chocolate syrup in a hot chocolate after telling me they don’t do flavors, so maybe you could convince them to make you a mocha (chocolate flavored latte). He didn’t ask me any size preferences for our lattes, so I’m assuming they only had one size for everything. A lot of shortness from the front counter taking my order, but I guess he was channeling his inner Australian by being curt lol. I’m assuming the best and that they were maybe short staffed, as they all seemed a little short/angry up front. But the lack of customer service during my time there is ultimately what cut my stars down.
Parking is ridiculous, and there are very few spots for how busy it was. If they ever move to a different location, I’d recommend them finding clearer parking.
Folks behind us waited 10 min to order at the counter, so don’t come here if you’re on a time crunch. The food and pastries menu looked incredible- again, didn’t try. Neighborhood seemed sketchy as an outsider, but it was fine.
To summarize: it’s in a weird looking location and you might think you’re in the wrong spot, but just follow your maps. Come here for food, not coffee shop vibes. Don’t come here just for coffee unless you’re a cream and sugar only kinda person/not too picky. And to the shop owners- I’d work on hiring some POS staff who have a little more customer service experience. Everyone has bad/busy days, so again- I’m assuming the best here. Overall not terrible, which is why this place landed...

Well the first Item I picked out ....was not available. So I was stuck with a chicken breast sandwich and soup. Plus I had a cup of coffee.
Well folks I cannot really see paying extra money for things that are labeled organic. I will come back to this. They have NO REAL certified effect on me!
I got a chicken ciabatta melt...8.25 with a tiny salad. and a cup of a carrot soup. Along with cuppa coffee. All together about 15 bucks
They all tasted just fine...but not worth the extra money that my body cannot tell the difference.
Being an old very educated and informed fart. My body get by with preservatives...
Coffee you pay for per cup. $1.70 - 6 oz.....that can be pricey. Plus only the thing they have is brown crystal sugar. That is so wrong for modern day coffee drinkers. The cup itself is small. I could not put my finger through the cup handle.
There was no other option for chicken. No juicy chix thigh....just plain dried half of a breast on a bun that is larger than the meat item, hidden behind another sliced tomato not native to Florida & lettuce.
I believe my cuppa soup was carrot, It tasted just fine. In a weird bowel and not big for my appetite
The tiny green salad with 2 cocktail tomato , that are not native to Florida. Plus having to add and mix your own room temperature oil & balsamic vinegar together. Not really knowing the origins of this food....Balsamic vinegar can be aged like a fine cognac and cost up to $75 a bottle. Not the case here I am sure.
The server were very nice.Over all the food was excellent. Just having to pay extra that really does not enhance your body...simply not worth the trip unless...
Read moreWhat a refreshing and unique experience to have. If you don't feel like getting your arteries clogged with bacon grease and gravy then stop reading and come here.
Healthy options as well as super friendly service that does not rush you out the door as soon as they see your plates empty.
Kale was the one running the place (yes Kale, just like the green) and she was an absolute delight. She was there just as you knew you needed there and never once asked us if we needed anything when our mouths were full.
We had the Banana Bread Plate, the Salmon Plate, and the Avocado Smash. All three were EXCELLENT, however the Avocado Smash is a very unique original that should be a go to option if you are unsure of what to go with. It is a concoction of feta, avocado, tahini and lemon juice that are all "smashed" together and placed on slices of bread with halved cherry tomatoes on the side and a poached egg in the middle of it all in a tiny bowl.
The coffee was very low in acidity and pleasant to drink; very aromatic and flavorful. Most of the time when you drink coffee anywhere else it tends to cause indigestion to some folks with a terrible aftertaste while drinking. Not here. Wherever they source or however they roast their beans they are doing the right thing.
I thought it was nice that they serve filtered water in glass bottles. Maybe it's the hippie in me or maybe it's nostalgia because growing up that how we drank our water too.
If youve made it this far and you haven't decide you're coming here for sure then either this place is not for you or I am not qualified enough to help you with...
