Do yourself a favor DON’T eat here! Good reviews are not accurate. Unfortunately we were not able to see all the bad reviews when we first read them. It’s that bad! Never again! The food we got was the worst food. Not edible. Mushy over cooked rice, same for Egg Rolls, sweet and sour chicken, super greasy all breading. We have struggled to find a decent place here since moving back. Seems none are good. The Best place years ago was at Lu Lu’s Garden off Skyline in SW Cape. Best food ever and she was friendly. Maybe she retired. 🤷♀️ She had big portions, fresh food, piping hot, and the biggest freshest egg rolls ever. They also delivered to the nearby private school weekly as part of school menu. Everywhere here has gone downhill and it’s very hit or miss. From what I understand there’s no good Chinese here anymore.Chinese used to be a regular staple weekend choice, but No more! You would really think these places would step up their game but it’s like everywhere else no one cares or takes pride in the food they are selling and serving 🙄🤷♀️ I also see in reviews owners are rude by their replies and they don’t stand by what they serve when there are complaints or problems or resolve refunds of money. Big Taboo! This alone tells you something about them. All the bad reviews talk about how they hang up on them or they rude reply back. Hello! We are complaining for a reason. 🙄 your food sucks! They won’t get far without customer service for sure and bad food. Call your bank and get a reversal backed by Visa. The place was also hot no A/C. They were not busy at all and we were there getting take out. The place looks like it really should be cleaned up.I should of left. Had a feeling. I am picky about fresh, and hot food hot. This food was old, cold, heat lamp re- heated. There was no condiments to take. I had to ask 2 times told in the bag and wasn’t any. No fortune cookies either. They are taking many short cuts from portion sizes, condiments, quality of food, that isn’t a good thing. They give No fortune cookies.🤷♀️I’m hoping I don’t get sick from what little I did eat. It was just 👎🏻🤢🤮. There’s a chines place near Popeyes that we got sick from, food poisoning and bad health review we learned. That Popeyes is the worst also. Terrible reviews.I like fresh, good, hot food hot and this stuff isnt. I don’t see this place lasting too much longer it’ll be going under. Poor mgmt, with bad attitude with bad food. Save your money this food isn’t up to par. Looks like there might be some better places in SW Cape. This is also why we do not tip people when we go and pick up our own food. They are already getting paid to do their job, which is making your food. I’m not tipping on something that’s going to be awful like this. The majority of the time fast food is almost horrible anyway because if you’re not eating at peak times it taste like garbage. If it’s not peak times we don’t go. Food is worse then. We almost always have to exchange food because it taste like its been sitting for years when it comes to fries or fried food. They cook so many fries at one time trying to get through a rush if they have one. It’s also obvious when you go in restaurants fries are all stacked up under the heat lamp. The Chik Fila does this too. 🤮 and Chinese too. They all do. Eat at home! We do so much now it’s not...
Read moreWe Like This Place - And You Can Eat In For some reason, it's hard to find good Chinese food in the Cape Coral area. We moved down to this area recently and asked friends and neighbors and we always here about two large buffet places. Nobody ever mentioned China Wok. We were in the area and wanted a lunch so we stopped in and we're glad we did. Just as many small Chinese restaurants, they offer anything off of their regular menu and also have a lunch menu attractively priced at $7.75 which includes your choice of Egg Drop or Wonton Soup, or and Egg Roll, or a Soda in addition to your entree which also comes with Pork Fried Rice. This is not a fancy place. Plastic silverware, napkins, packets of sweet n sour sauce and hot mustard are at one end of the front counter for you to self serve. Basic laminate covered tables and benches are there if you want to eat in. I ordered the Shrimp and Chinese Vegetables, which was supposed to have some spiciness, and a Soda for us to share. As I enjoy Hot N Sour Soup, I ordered a Small for an additional $3.95. My wife ordered the Chicken and Mixed Vegetables with an Egg Roll. As we waited, we noticed a brisk lunch take-out business which always indicates that the food must be good. We could here the clanging of the woks in the kitchen and our dishes were brought out to us quickly. The soup could not have been any hotter temperature wise. It had to be just below boiling point and I prefer it that way. The flavor was enjoyable and as I have found, every Chinese place has a little different flavor when it comes to Hot N Sour soup. This had a nice blend of spice from chilies, vinegar, vegetables and tofu in probably a chicken based broth. This container was actually enough for me for lunch, but I had to try my Shrimp and Vegetable. I didn't really notice any heat from spice so I added a few drizzles of the infamous Chinese hot mustard and that did the trick. Six medium shrimp with a variety of Chinese veggies in a tasty sauce accompanied by pork fried rice. I had a few tastes and took the rest home for lunch the next day. My wife's Egg Roll was just ok. Veggie based, not a lot of flavor. Sweet and Sour sauce and mustard added some flavor. Her Chicken and Vegetables was excellent. Plenty of chicken and veggies in a sauce similar to mine and the same fried rice. She brought home about half. When you can get good tasting Chinese food and get it at a lunch special price, it's even better! We have gone back several times and will visit...
Read moreOrdered take out..first time customer. Repeated credit card #3 times. These were young very clear speaking teen aged per my driver as he messed up HER TIP( GOOD THING i checked my cc receipt before I signed it as they did not add the correct amount and would have cheated he)r. Food came chicken vegetable soup ok, egg drop soup ok....won ton soup VERY LACKING. I ordered 4 extra won tons assuming as in my past experiences both in house or delivery they would be packed or served separately..nope..STUFFED INTO the soup. 1 quart of soup yielded 1 cup of liquid..just lots of wontons packed in like sardines. Then came the 2 orders of Sweet and Sour chicken with rice..each packed in those cheesy paper containers. The rice was a SOLID GUMMY BRICK, almost impossible to separate even with soup broth..the type of rice one might have been saving to use for fried rice..inedible. The chicken chunks were obviously refried as the outside was so hard that trying to cut it with a steak knife just caused it to shatter abd tge chicken inside was so dried up it was was shriveled up. This is a $40.00 mistake, and I have a huge dislike for those LEAKING PAPER THINGS not counting an them adding the wrong tip for driver, she was nice, but even if I had been in house, I would have tipped because you never blame tge messenger, they just delivered the message so good thing i had cash. This is probably the VERY WORST REVUE I HAVE EVER WRITTEN in my 81 years and I think I have probably only written 2 others. I will not listen to anyone and go back to my old place.i truly Doubt that MANY of these GOOD reviews are true. But are paid for. I know someone who actually gets PAIDZ TO WRITE 4 OR 5 good reviews for a couple of places.but judging from my experience tonight, I am beginning to believe the amount of $$ she gets ( i cant say earns. Although she could rephrase the same words before AI) even though she uses her creative...
