Food was mediocre, experience with delivery driver was poor, but service and experience with the manager was fantastic.
I ordered Thursday, 3/7 in the evening. One of their new Caprese Salami Pesto sandwiches, thinny chips, a pickle, and two cookies to share with my partner.
I received a call shortly after my order was placed and was informed that there wasn’t a delivery driver available. I couldn’t pick it up, but the manager was kind enough to let me get it delivered today, Friday.
I called today and got the food delivered no problem. I was told I didn’t have a balance, but when the delivery driver came to the door, she told me I did have a balance, and then also requested a tip… I’m all for helping people out, especially in this economy, but requesting a tip is unprofessional, and her attitude didn’t warrant one. Either way, I just wanted her off my doorstep, so I gave her what I owed and tacked on a $5 tip.
Now let’s talk about that sandwich. I ordered it as it came, but added some of those spicy Jimmy peppers. (Man, those things are good.) I opened the sandwich and it was visibly wet. Picked it up and the bread was spongy. I knew right away my stomach wasn’t going to like me. I bit into the sandwich anyway and it was honestly a mouthful of grease. The idea of the sandwich sounds fantastic, but the execution is lacking. There are multiple sauces on the sandwich and they were all just…too much, especially with the roasted tomatoes, which added yet another wet element to the sandwich. I couldn’t taste the meat or the whole-milk mozzarella (which has a delicate flavor to begin with), or even the bread. This was my cheat meal, and I’m so sad that I wasted it on this mess of a sandwich. Next time I’ll order my usual, I guess.
The rest of the food I ordered was packaged, so it was fine.
I ended up paying a whopping $30 for mediocre food and an unpleasant experience.
I really appreciate the manager being so kind as to let me order my food today instead of providing a refund, because I really did want to try the sandwich. But the rest of the experience was lacking, to...
Read moreWe have tried this place a couple times and it keeps ending up in disaster. It is a shame because it is so close to us and it is a nice change for some fast food, especially with the delivery option. They always mess up our order, and even try to blame it on us when we only ordered what is on the menu. For instance, when you order a Beach Club it should not come on a sub roll UNLESS specified. You shouldn't have to specify that you want it the way the menu advertises it, that should be the default. I know it isn't supposed to be that way, but that was the excuse they gave us when they messed it up and had to redeliver our food. The girl that takes the orders, who is also the delivery driver is a ditz, and can't seem to get the address or orders right without repeating them over and over. If stuff like this had happened once, It would be fine because they do seem to do what they can to fix whatever problems you have. But who wants to keep going through that every time?
We will probably not be trying this place for a long...
Read moreLet me start off by saying that I straight up love this establishment. The food is amazing every time, the people are so genuine and helpful at the shop i regularly go to (on the corner of viscaya parkway and del prado blvd, Cape Coral FL), and the shop is always clean. There are several employees that seem to go above and beyond. One girl today personally helped and left her register spot to sit with an apprehensive woman who had never been there before and inform her about everything, the delivery guy that walked by me while I was eating my perfectly made sub smiled extremely genuinely at me (which never happens because I'm 19 and he seemed about the same age. Guys my age always look away awkwardly or ignore my presence) and when another girl seemed like she was bored she went up front and cleaned the Window's and door's glass on her free time. Awesome staff, awesome food, awesome environment. The high prices don't bother me at all in an establishment...
