C-View Inn — Restaurant in Cape May

Went for wing night when it was time to pay we watched the whole place clear out as the waitress (Gabby) took so long to come back I finally went up to the hostess stand to ask if I could just pay there since my waitress hasn’t returned well my waitress ended up being at the hostess stand also so I asked to put half the bill on my friends card and handed her my $100 bill to pay for the other half of the bill. When she handed me back the money it was my fault for not counting it but I just quickly shoved it back into my wallet so that I didn’t drop any since I had to now make my way all the way to the other side of the building back to my table for my belongings & make sure I didn’t drop my friends card along the way also! The next morning I noticed the waitress Gabby took the whole check out of my $100 bill since that was the only money I had in my wallet at the time so I call my friend to see if her card was charged and it was indeed charged half! I got ahold of the manager which was really nice at first until I never heard back from him smh! She went home with all the money she overcharged me plus the actual tip we left!!! (Must of been a good night in tips huh gabby!? Smh) It was my fault for not counting my money on spot but I also shouldn’t of been inconvenienced in waiting at least a half hour for my waitress and then have to go hunt her down because she never came if she would of just came to our table I wouldn’t have been robbed of my $! The family and I figured we would try a new place Sunday. Reviews were very good so we went. Now understand this is just my preference on this review. Take it with a grain of salt. The service was horrible. Not for everyone though, there was one waitress that was absolutely hustling her ass off. I guess we just lucked out and got the lazy one. Took a little while to get our drinks and let me say it was not busy. Ordered our food and it was good. I can't complain about the taste. My problem was that I got the pulled BBQ pork sandwich which did not hardly have any meat in it. I really should have just asked for a roll. Again, just my opinion but when I have a sandwich like that, I should need a fork to eat all the stuff that fell out of the roll it is so packed. Overall the portions tucked. We all left not feeling remotely full or satisfied. Too many tables packed into a small area and they were too small for 4 people to eat at. Again concerning the waitress. I was able to leave after waiting for some time to get the check and go to Wawa across the street, order some food and go back before the check came. Not...

We have been going to the C-View's Wing Nights for several years. We always enjoyed the plump and juice "wings' with a cold beer! However our last two "wing nights" have been disappointing. The most recent visit being March 25, 2015.

On this night we found the wings dry and overcooked. They also also seemed to be more heavily coated with whatever is used as the coating so that when you crunched into the wing and finally reached the "dry meat", it was not there. The meat was quite thin. This makes us think they are now using a lesser quality chicken wing which is now disguised in a heavy-laden coating.

Now you may say this was just "a bad night" but in our previous trip, it was the same. In fact, after that trip, we called and asked to speak to the owner who at that call, was not on site. The staffer said "I will tell him about this and ask him to call you" . We did not get a call back.

I don't know if we will ever go back to "wing night" after two consecutive...
