My best friend and I had an AMAZING dinner!! We decided on ordering several apps and desserts and I'm so glad we did! I love that the menu had a variety of modern spins on familiar favorites like the crab cakes, raviolis, and so much more! The salad was incredibly fresh and flavourful. The raviolis were cooked perfectly with the yummiest duck confit inside and topped with a wonderful cream sauce. I thoroughly enjoyed the haloumi with apples too! Different but so delicious and balanced. And do NOT sleep on their desserts! This restaurant definitely has one of the best pastry chefs locally. We ordered tiramisu and carrot cake. I wish I had room to eat the whole thing. I'm definitely coming back for the chocolate lasagna!
We had such a good view of the marina and water front. It was very relaxing. The ambience was great inside too. Added bonus: It was nice that you don't have to drive into busy Cape May with it's congested traffic. The parking is right in front of the restaurant so you don't have to sweat finding parking or paying meters. You can also check out the marina gift shop next door and enjoy the views of the marina.
I can't wait to return and see what great things they add to the menu. I also can't wait to come back and try my new...
Read moreMy wife and I dined here last night to celebrate our anniversary and had an amazing experience.
We started with the bread, scallops, and the pork belly.
Highly recommend the bread, the bread and charred lemon butter was amazing, and we were brought another butter from the kitchen to try as well which was incredible. Excited to see the other butter incorporated into the menu.
Pork belly was great, very refreshing and the miso cream was a great touch, very decadent but still light. Scallops were also very delicious but the pork belly was definitely the star.
For entrees I got the duck confit and my wife got the bucatini bolognese. The bolognese was amazing and I wouldn’t change a thing. The duck confit was very delicious however, I think it would could be even more delicious with a little citrus maybe orange zest incorporated into the dish. Overall very refreshing and definitely a great option for a more elegant dining option down the shore.
We did try the dessert but they offered a dessert lasagna which sounded like it would be good. We will definitely be back!!! The staff and everyone there was also incredibly friendly...
Read moreThank goodness for the BYOB. Mimosas at the marina were nice. However, the waitress was cold, inattentive and it felt like we were inconveniencing her … for salt and pepper on our table, some sliced tomato with our avocado toast. The toast was three under toasted thick slices of sourdough bread, spread thin with an avocado spread and topped with one egg. A side of bacon ordered showed about 15 mins later. The chef was pleasant. He said they opened about a month ago, so they’re working out their kinks. The chorizo sausage gravy was good and the poached eggs were done to a “t”. The waitress, however, seemed uninterested in making this a good dining experience for the customer, unfortunately making it memorable for the wrong reasons. However, the day before, we headed to to beach and stopped in for some breakfast sandwiches that weren’t even on the menu (bacon, egg and cheese) on sourdough. These were excellent and we told the chef that today as well. Unlikely we’ll be back if but for a breakfast sandwich before the beach....
