Cardington Cafe — Restaurant in Cardington Township

Love the hometown feel. Was in this little town for a event and our family needed some lunch. I ordered Steak Taco's and my wife had Chicken Bacon Ranch with side salad. My wife's order came out wrong and during this time they a run of customers, so she is waiting while we all are eating and waiting, but at least she had her salad and borrowed some ranch from someone else at table. My steak tacos we terrible, the meat was dry and looked like canned roast beef, very little, the Pico was some raw onions and chopped up tomatoes I think cause it was covered with about 4 ounces of cheese on a cold tortilla. No salsa, some Guac and sour cream. DRY!!! On top of the order they charged .50 cents for water. My wife enjoyed her food once she got it but overpriced for what she got. Wouldn't recommend...

If Alex is working the food is spot on like a 5 star restaurant. But 4 times we have been for breakfast and the food is cold everything brought out in the wrong order. Cold eggs and bacon isn't good, pancakes that look like dehydrated bananas because they aren't fully cooked, and on top of it all drinks brought out 5min after the food. Sad to say because this is a wonderful environment and when Alex is there he runs an awesome restaurant. But after 4 times of the latter we will be thinking very differently on returning as that is an average of $40 a time so around $160 wasted on food that shouldn't have...

Ordered online, food was ready when I arrived, no waiting. Rueben sandwich was perfect. Warm and crunchy toasted rye bread, 2 blended melted cheeses, (American and cheddar), sweet Russian dressing, lean corned beef, with a side of chips and coffee. Fantastic lunch. Besides online service, prompt walk-in service at the counter. Plenty of parking in the rear or practice your parallel parking skills in the front. Handicapped parking also nearby in the Cost. front. Super relaxed and roomy environment with table seating or sofa seating. They also offer baked pastry goods. Friendly staff....
