Fat Pat's Bar and Grill Carencro — Restaurant in Carencro

Update: My wife and I have been long time fans of Fat Pat's and have always left raving reviews. Today's experience, not so much. Wednesday May 10th we arrived at 11:00 am. There were only a couple of other customers present and 2 servers. Our server ( the shorter one) greeted us and took our drink order. When she returned she took our food order (without writing). We ordered a fried chicken bacon ranch sandwich with onion rings and a grilled chicken bacon sandwich with blue cheese and fries. 25 minutes later our order arrived, so we thought. The fried sandwich had blue cheese and served with fries and of course the grilled chicken was wrong. Our server did not seem pleased as she took the food back to the kitchen. A quick 5 or 10 minutes later she returned with our food (we were suspicious) everything put in proper place. Onion rings and fries were cold, grilled chicken was cold and fried chicken was greasy and still tasted of blue cheese. Again, there were only a few other people there, two tables came in after us, it was Not busy. I have seen a lot of servers able to take an order without writing it down but, when you do that, you leave room for mistakes. Next time try this; server takes wrong food back to kitchen and the whole order is re-cooked. Meanwhile, server returns to customers, apologize for the mix up and delay and offers an appetizer or something. I'm sure we will eventually be back as we have enjoyed y'all for several years going back Lafayette. This visit left a bad taste...

I order two burger combo's, and an appetizer. $46.00 after tax. I drive to the restaurant, pick-up my order, get home. I have two burgers without a side and an appetizer soaked in grease with the pulled pork scorched black. I call the location to inform that my entree's were lone without a side and I was informed by their "manager" that unless you actually select fries on waitr, they don't come with anything even though there's a separate"no side" option. SO, I skipped over the side aspect when ordering because I expected a $14 burger to come with fries. (Like their pictures display) After my whole explanation I was told that I could drive back to get my sides of fries for my family. I was very calm, very polite. I'm not one for confrontation. My kids were bummed they didn't have any fries. I worked a twelve hour day only to have to make multiple trips when I should have stayed home because the fries they ended up giving me were a small handful if anything. I did a 20 minute turn around trip for maybe 30 fries total and I was shocked to see it. Usually a business wants to do something for a customer that was inconvenienced. so after all was said and done, $46 for greasy overdone appetizer, and two mediocre burgers. For shame Fat Pat's. I've never left a one star...

I went to eat dinner here tonight and ordered the Mahi Mahi and I got to say I was terribly disappointed i took one bite and no flavor what so ever just a herb taste. And to top it off it was very dry! It was definitely not a fresh taste and had me wanting to leave. The server was very nice enough to get me some garlic butter and lemon and even that wasn't good enough to make it taste good. So I technically had two bites out of it total and was still not satisfied. My bill was 78 dollars and I left a 7 dollar tip only for the server. I felt sorry for her because it must of been embarrassing for her to serve that plate to me. To the cook who served me that fish tonight you definitely need to be fired for over cooking that fish and serving up frozen salt water fish. You have no taste or love for cooking and disappointed not only one person tonight but plenty of people who love coming here. I will never ever come here again. Just to know one plate told me many things about how someone did not care about their job and their love for cooking. I really wanted to come back there and slap the cook not in...
