Plantiful Kitchen — Restaurant in Carlsbad

The owner deleted my review from her website several times now, even though it was respectful and honest. I’m posting here because people deserve to know how concerns are handled — especially those of us with serious health conditions.

I ordered online from Plantiful Kitchen because I have severe food sensitivities and chronic health conditions, and I was drawn to their allergy-conscious marketing. Unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing.

The box arrived hot to the touch during a 90+ degree heat wave and was visibly crushed. As someone with medical conditions like histamine intolerance, warm shipping like this makes the product unsafe for me to eat. I reached out respectfully, hoping to work something out — but was met with a dismissive and blame-filled response.

I was told I should have contacted them ahead of time to request ice (even though the website clearly says they don’t use ice and no option was presented at checkout). I was denied a refund and told I should have purchased insurance.

This was a lot of money wasted, and I still have no food I can safely eat. For a company that claims to serve customers with dietary needs, there was no empathy, no accountability, and no willingness to support someone with a disability. I won’t be ordering again, and I would strongly caution others with chronic illness or food...

Amazing delights!

So happy that Plantiful Kitchen has opened up a shopfront during the pandemic and I am able to get my favourite freshly baked GF bread as well as donuts and cookies. Having a gluten intolerance, the donuts and cookies are Plantiful Kitchen are superb - the real deal but pure and clean and a very happy tummy.

The vegan cheese and spreads in store as well as the cute little brands that Plantiful sells always makes it a delight to go in for a shop! Great work guys and can't wait to come in this weekend to load up on some bread and...

Best vegan treats in So. Cal! Plantiful Kitchen has many treats, made in-house, that are vegan and free from refined sugar. They are very tasty and make you feel better about eating treats when your sweet tooth kicks in! My favorites are the truffles and caramel doughnuts! They also make GF breads which are awesome. The store carries locally made vegan products which is an added bonus to their menu items; soaps, cheeses, snack items, etc. Definitely check out this awesome store, I know I'll be back on my next trip...
