Margarita's Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Carlton

I started writing about my experience of this place and I got more angry by the minute. I deleted everything I wrote. My party of 3 adults, 1 child and 1 baby walked into a restaurant that read "No Minors" although it was a family restaurant. We seated ourselves, then the menus arrived 30 minutes later. We had to make our own high chair, we received a wrong size drink and the drink itself was wrong, waited 1 hour for our food after our order was taken, the tamales were cold, the ground beef quality was worst than Taco Bell's, and all food entrees were extremely salty. We wanted to say something during our meal, but was afraid we were going to have to wait another hour for new entrees to come out. At the end of the night, we asked for a discount on the meal due to cold tamales, the wrong size drink, and extremely slow service when it wasn't even busy. Only the cold tamales and the wrong size drink was discounted. The waitress even said, "You guys ate it all well". She was rude and did not attend to us compared to a fraction of a Sheri's Pie waitress. If you are thinking about getting your Mexican on in or near Carlton, do not waste your time...

We stopped in for a quick lunch my wife and I turned out we placed our order and waited over 45 minutes and they still had not started making our food the chips were brought out were we're wet and soggy the beans were Gray and bland with no flavor there was no salt or pepper on the table type kind of give it a little bit of flavor, the salsa was just tomato water and to much oregano. When we mentioned we were leaving because it had been 45 min and they hadn't even started our food he just said "ok" no apology or attempt to make it right. I do understand folks are short staffed however there were 2 employess working and no other customers eating! Just one lady gambling and one guy drinking a beer. Great alcohol .. Food is not so great. I have ate at this establishment on two separate occasions. The first time, I was waited on by a server and food was presentable. However, got stomach issues. The second time, I was served by a gentleman in dirty clothes and dirty fingernails. I don't have an issue with either of these accept we are talking about food service. I feel like having a presentable look is a plus. I got sick from the food once again. I have ate at other Mexican restaurants and no issues. Just this place.
