My only experience with Freddy’s has been their ice cream sandwiches. Someone brought them to a gathering about a year ago and since then I too take them to gatherings. I’ve only ever gone through the drive-thru. Service has never been stellar but I’m just getting ice cream.
This past Friday I went to get ice cream sandwiched. The drive-thru line was spilling on to the street. I went inside, my first time ever going inside. Getting the ice cream sandwiches was easy enough and the cashier was friendly and helpful. I did notice how dirty the floor was, behind the counter. Like the trash was overflowing and just falling on the floor. It was super busy and I just assumed the staff was overwhelmed. I felt like the serving areas were clean. No one wants to see a dirty area but I did offer some grace.
Since I was inside I was able to see the food as I passed the tables. Again, I had never been inside and I have only had the ice cream sandwiches. So, I made note to come try some of your food.
Today was the day. We pulled into the lot at1:04pm. We didn’t order until about 1:15pm. That’s not an extraordinary amount of time to wait. However, it was 28 minutes before we got our order. The line didn’t move for about 19 minutes. The car in front of me pulled off without their order.
I too had strongly considered leaving. I stayed because I had a sleeping toddler in my car so I had the time and I was genuinely curious how low it would actually take. It took a long time.
I will say the food was good, just a little heavy handed on the salt with the burgers. I can’t say that I will return. That long of a wait, no apology, not even a mention of a long wait isn’t the type of customer service I tend to patronize. I offer a lot of grace as I know that things happen, it gets busy, errors happen, etc. Seeing this type of wait twice in one weekend seems more indicative of the service you...
Read moreWe typically love Freddy's, but this location should be condemned. Every table was filthy, the floors were dirty and sticky, and the workers were so unmotivated. There was only one other couple in the restaurant when we arrived and they made eye contact with us and commented how dirty the place was and how they hoped they didn't get sick from all the germs. We asked for a worker to clean our table and it was still not very clean afterwards. The really disturbing part was that another worker laid in a booth the entire time we were in the restaurant eating and on her cell phone. She had no urgency to get up. She finally got up to go back to work and didn't even have the motivation to clean up after herself. She left her fry container and fry sauce lay on the table as she went back to work the drive-thru. She could have cared less that the restaurant was a mess and that she didn't throw away her own trash. There were no napkins, straws, sauce, lids, etc. The custard maker was also running over & nobody had any urgency to stop it and clean up the mess. Multiple people left without getting custard because they were disgusted. A different worker accused the employee laying in the booth of intentionally running the custard machine over. Again the worker laying down, never left her booth to help clean it up. To top off the experience, our burgers were so salty that we could hardly eat them. As a matter of fact, one of them got thrown away. I don't normally like to leave negative reviews, but this really needs to be addressed. The pictures I attached are of the trash the employee left at her table and a small glimpse of the trash...
Read moreWe’ve had friends telling us for a while we needed to try Freddy’s and we’re sorry we waited so long. We finally stopped by for lunch and REALLY loved it. Loved the fun decor and the place was refreshingly CLEAN. Really don’t see this enough in today’s fast food restaurants. The service at the counter was great. The woman was very patient, friendly & informative as we asked questions. Prices were good. We REALLY loved the food. I normally prefer thick burgers and thick fries and I was surprised how much I enjoyed the thinner burgers & fries. Of course it helped that I got a triple-stack burger lol 😉 We weren’t sure if we were going to try the custard but are SOOO glad we did. We each got sundaes and they were both SOOOO good. MUCH better than Culver’s, imo (and the burgers & fries too). The custard’s taste & consistency was just so much better for some reason. The hot fudge & carmel were hot/perfect, and I had bananas and watched the gal pull from a pile of PERFECTLY ripe bananas. A second woman took our order for the custards and she was just as nice as the first. Interacted with two other employees at the pickup counter and they were great & friendly too. Overall we REALLY enjoyed Freddy’s and are looking fwd to being...
