Baymont by Wyndham Indianapolis Northwest — Hotel in Indianapolis

Stayed here Dec 3rd and Dec 4th. I paid for 2 rooms one night and one room the other night. Honestly the rooms are nice especially for the price. I could not explain how upset i was that my family members were able to take 1 warm shower on the 4th before the hot water ran out. This forced everyone to take cold showers when it was 20 degrees outside. That is beyond unacceptable. The next day we stayed Dec 4th. I was having a procedure done that day and came back to the one room by myself to sleep. When i woke up in the morning, got breakfast which there was no problem with. However when i tried to take a shower there was 0 hot water. So basically they aren't maintaining their basic utility of hot water. If you had said to me at check in, hey we don't have hot water.... I would have stayed somewhere else.

This is unacceptable, especially in 20 degree weather. That is the level of importance of a hot water failure, you don't have it, then you don't have guests because you aren't supplying the most basic and expected utility that a guest is looking for. I know its hard to make money in the sub $100 a night hotel business, believe me, but not maintaining the facility because you want to fix it yourself without paying a repair person is not the way. Its winter time, we as guests expect hot water, period. We don't care why it broke, how much it costs to fix. GET IT DONE. Everyone that worked there was polite, so kudos for that but honestly that means little if there is not any hot water. I'd rather have rude associate that fixes the hot water issue than a polite one that...

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 4 nights in August for GenCon. The people that worked the front desk were nice and friendly. Location is convenient - about 20 minute drive to downtown Indy, close to the highway, and coffee shops/gas stations nearby. I forgot my toothbrush and the front desk had them available with no additional cost. Coffee and lemon/lime water are available all day. We didn't try the breakfast so can't say how that was (available 6-9am).

Some of my complaints are that the water pressure for the shower and sinks are very, very weak. The air vents were filthy... probably not great for people with allergies or respiratory conditions. Whenever the AC turned on, it was very, very loud. Functional but loud... make sure to bring ear plugs if you are a light sleeper. Also, there was no soap available upon arrival so had to go down to the front desk for couple bar soaps. Housekeeping is not available unless you ask for it (let the front desk know by 10 am daily), which isn't a big deal but for some people it might be.

My wife and I checked in on 12/1/18. Went to the Big 10 football championship. After the game we went out for a very late dinner and then back to the room for so much needed rest. Once we got settled in bed, I was very restless and couldn’t figure out why. I got out of bed pulled the covers back and turned on the lights. What I find was so disgusting that I told my wife we were leaving right then and there. What was in the bed was a DEAD BUG. Needless to say at 4:30 in the morning we were leaving the hotel heading home (2 hour drive). I have tried several times to speak with the manager about this issue, but there seems to never be one working when I call. The manager was supposed to call me on 12/2/18. And to this day I have not had a call. What makes things worse is I went through orbitz to book the room which means they have to get the OK from the hotel to credit any money back. When I called Orbitz on 12/3/18, the young lady told me that the hotel had no record of me even checking in. I work for a bank in the disputed department so I know how to try and work things out with companies, but to say you have no record of me checking in after you made a copy of my drivers licenses is shady.
