(UPDATE: 4/25/25) Used to pick this up when I worked in the neighborhood. It was never a problem pizza was always fresh and great.

Last few times that I've been in there with my children and wife on Fridays. The food has been better but today really changed things...

We order and waited almost an hour before our food was even cooked. Now mind you this was around 11:00 a.m.

Now I know this place from years back and many years experience ordering from them. Never has it been this bad that we had to wait almost an hour especially with three children.

Not only that The last three times we've been in there. The bathroom has been not useable. This place to try to use the bathroom you can't flush cuz the water's turned off. That was the last couple of times. Today there was no light in the bathroom to use We had to use our cell phone flashlights..

It's been close to $60 the last couple of times we've been in there.

No access to the bathroom. The pizza was "HORRIBLE" The french fries were overcooked My daughter's favorite she recommends this place. Sunset french fries with hot sauce. Not today...

Everything was overcooked horrible The food was delayed beyond being delayed...

Nice place to get a inexpensive pizza that taste pretty good

I do not recommend the calzone however not very good

I used to work down in that area and we'll get lunch with a smile the owners are very wonderful people Not only that they are open much earlier than other places so if you work early and take an early lunch this is a place...

My husband, my daughter, and I were in Carnegie for the Carnegie Crawl, and we were looking for a good place to eat dinner. We decided to eat at SUNSET PIZZA, because they had vegetable kabobs. WHAT WE GOT DID NOT EVEN VAGUELY RESEMBLE VEGETABLE KABOBS!!!! We got WHITE RICE WITH AN ENTIRE BAG OF FRENCH FRIES ON TOP, A FEW PIECES OF BROCCOLI, TWO VERY SMALL PIECES OF BREADED ZUCCHINI, ONE PIECE OF TOMATO, ONE PIECE OF GREEN PEPPER, AND A COUPLE PIECES OF BURNT ONION. The meal that I got was not vegetable kabobs, and it certainly wasn’t worth $14! EGGPLANT AND ONION SALAD NOTED ON THE MENU WAS MISSING FROM THE MEAL! The manager, Manny, told us that the food would be ready in 25 minutes, but the meal was actually ready in 55 MINUTES!!! When we paid, our bill was higher than it should have been. The manager, Manny, said, “Oh, we printed the menus, before we raised our prices.” Why is a restaurant using menus with old prices? Isn’t that illegal? When I called, I was told that the vegetable kabobs do not come on skewers. That’s probably because it is impossible to put fries on a skewer! I should have received a full refund, since the meal I got was not vegetable kabobs! I do not recommend Sunset Pizza, because of their deceptiveness both with their prices, and their meals. Also, the inside of the restaurant is disgustingly filthy! PLEASE DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND GO...

Sept 2022 review: Their wings are good but they're not on Grubhub menu. I have complained about this to them twice but no results. I called them to pay for the wings over the phone so it could be added to my GrubHub order and they said I'll have to ask Grubhub to add the wings to my order. 🤔 First of all, why would GrubHub add items to my order? And even if they are willing to do so, how can they add an item that's not on your menu? So, taking one star down for not solving the issue. On another note, their Lamb wrap used to be so good. Now, it's so bad.. 2020 review: Liked these items: 1) Adana kebab - Famous Turkish Beef kebabs served with rice and veggies 2) Baklava - Turkish dessert - really awesome! The taste is authentic and is exactly what I had in Istanbul. It tastes better with vanilla ice cream. 3) Garlic fresh jumbo wings - these are dipped in garlic sauce and are not just dry wings **They messed up my Grubhub order a little but I'm happy with the taste of their food which is why I rated 4 stars. Will definitely try more items from their menu.

I liked this place. A nice mix of both Middle Eastern items and classic pizza shop items. I decided to try a bit from both of the menus. So, I ordered a create your own calzone with just the classic cheese and sauce as well as the homemade baklava. The calzone was just OK. Nothing too special. It had the cheese in chunks which made for a slightly strange texture. However, the flavor itself wasn’t bad. It seems like they use a variety of different cheeses for their calzone. A tad on the soggy side as well but not bad. Would rather stick the the Middle Eastern menu more. The baklava, however, was very good. I enjoyed that it seemed homemade and fresh. It’s made with pistachios and isn’t overwhelmingly sweet but has just enough sweetness to make it delightful. All in all, a nice spot. Decent pizza and calzones, and really good baklava. Try it!
