(UPDATE: 4/25/25) Used to pick this up when I worked in the neighborhood. It was never a problem pizza was always fresh and great.
Last few times that I've been in there with my children and wife on Fridays. The food has been better but today really changed things...
We order and waited almost an hour before our food was even cooked. Now mind you this was around 11:00 a.m.
Now I know this place from years back and many years experience ordering from them. Never has it been this bad that we had to wait almost an hour especially with three children.
Not only that The last three times we've been in there. The bathroom has been not useable. This place to try to use the bathroom you can't flush cuz the water's turned off. That was the last couple of times. Today there was no light in the bathroom to use We had to use our cell phone flashlights..
It's been close to $60 the last couple of times we've been in there.
No access to the bathroom. The pizza was "HORRIBLE" The french fries were overcooked My daughter's favorite she recommends this place. Sunset french fries with hot sauce. Not today...
Everything was overcooked horrible The food was delayed beyond being delayed...
Nice place to get a inexpensive pizza that taste pretty good
I do not recommend the calzone however not very good
I used to work down in that area and we'll get lunch with a smile the owners are very wonderful people Not only that they are open much earlier than other places so if you work early and take an early lunch this is a place...
Read moreMy husband, my daughter, and I were in Carnegie for the Carnegie Crawl, and we were looking for a good place to eat dinner. We decided to eat at SUNSET PIZZA, because they had vegetable kabobs. WHAT WE GOT DID NOT EVEN VAGUELY RESEMBLE VEGETABLE KABOBS!!!! We got WHITE RICE WITH AN ENTIRE BAG OF FRENCH FRIES ON TOP, A FEW PIECES OF BROCCOLI, TWO VERY SMALL PIECES OF BREADED ZUCCHINI, ONE PIECE OF TOMATO, ONE PIECE OF GREEN PEPPER, AND A COUPLE PIECES OF BURNT ONION. The meal that I got was not vegetable kabobs, and it certainly wasn’t worth $14! EGGPLANT AND ONION SALAD NOTED ON THE MENU WAS MISSING FROM THE MEAL! The manager, Manny, told us that the food would be ready in 25 minutes, but the meal was actually ready in 55 MINUTES!!! When we paid, our bill was higher than it should have been. The manager, Manny, said, “Oh, we printed the menus, before we raised our prices.” Why is a restaurant using menus with old prices? Isn’t that illegal? When I called, I was told that the vegetable kabobs do not come on skewers. That’s probably because it is impossible to put fries on a skewer! I should have received a full refund, since the meal I got was not vegetable kabobs! I do not recommend Sunset Pizza, because of their deceptiveness both with their prices, and their meals. Also, the inside of the restaurant is disgustingly filthy! PLEASE DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND GO...
