On our way to discover a cool coffee place, we discovered this gem. This was close to our hotel and also close to downtown on a street that was having a farmer's market on a sleepy Sunday.
Here is the summary of our experience at this amazing place nestled in an old historical building:
Ambiance 6/5: The outside doesn't do justice to this amazing place. It looks like an old-world charm historical building that has been turned into a coffee shop. Each nook and corner seems to have a story in itself. This is a great place to hang out with friends or work silently on our laptop as you sip some caffeine. If you want a quieter place, you can opt to sit on the second floor which has an old library-like charm. It also has a small outdoor seating with an old and pretty clock right outside. Along with this they also have some amazing coffee quotes at different corners.
Service 5/5: The people at the front were very helpful and helped with the selections. The service was quick and friendly. FYI - There are two different sections - One where we got our coffee and another place where we got our bagel so make sure you keep your ears open for your name.
Food 5/5: We stopped here for a quick coffee and a quick bite so our experience is based on it. Here is what we ordered:
a) Iced vanilla latte: Right amount of sweetness with great coffee taste. b) Bagel with cream cheese: They double-toasted it just the way I liked it with a good amount of cheese.
Overall, if you are ever around this place, do not miss this opportunity to have a great time with friends or yourself and give yourself a delightful morning start.

Not so good:

Just give me a decent, inexpensive coffee, please The coffee is ok, bit overpriced. Food not much better. It is cold in here in the summer. And loud. The wifi is wonky, and the single table outside is wobbly and old. Not a very inviting place overall. Hope it improves in all the above-mentioned facets and quickly. Otherwise alienating customers not a good business approach in anyone's book.
PS In response to the business' response I must say they are misleading readers. They indeed have flags/signs (see below photo) or have had signs recently in their establishment, rather prominently, regarding BLM and LGBTQ. While some may say those aren't "political" that is merely splitting hairs. While I and most people don't care who you marry or choose to be with, whatever, when I go in merely for a coffee I don't want to feel lectured or made out to feel unworthy of being there just because my beliefs may differ from the someone else's. Yes, it is a private establishment and the owner can do as they wish. I, and others, feel put off. And it indeed is not good for business. that aside, the coffee, food and service is/was average at...
