Brentwood Dining & Event Center — Restaurant in Caro

We went here yesterday for dinner, $18.99 per person for Buffett food that was just awful. Swiss steak that was so tough they served it with a steak knife. This was just over priced slop. Honestly, why is the lunch buffett only $10 and the dinner Buffett is $18.99? The "Swiss Steak" looked like mystery meat in gray gravy, fried fish that was eyewatering salty and just awful. The food in general here has really gone downhill over the years. The food quality is poor and near everything on the salad bar tastes like it was scooped from a can. I came here for the taco lunch Buffett last week and they had COLD flour tortillas, nacho chips and CANNED melted cheese? I don't know what people in Caro think is good food, but this was just overpriced, poorly cooked, cheap slop. $60+ dollars for 3 adults at the dinner Buffett. My wife and I went in for lunch today 12/16/2023. Food was good service was kind of slow but understood it was full of parties. The complaint I have is with what I'm assuming is management and maybe ownership, as we were getting ready to leave employees were sitting in dining room eating, and to top it off they were talking of other employees and situations that should have been talked about not in front of guests. Very very unprofessional! Next time maybe save your business conversation for the office! P.s. We were there for our daughter's 15th birthday party. We had reserved to make sure we could bowl and have a table. The only issue I had was when we got there they hadn't known if I wanted a table or to book the party room. I had told them when reserving that I wanted a table and lane so we could bowl and have pizza. They got us a table set up with a lane right away. The waitress was amazing. She was working hard taking care of us and another party that was also there. The food was great as always and they brought our pizzas out slowly so that they were still hot as we needed them. Loved the food and the waitress was super friendly and even told my kid happy birthday. Definitely booking...
