Rosati's Pizza of Carol Stream on Hiawatha — Restaurant in Carol Stream

After ordering food from this establishment for over 30 years, I would not recommend this place to anyone, especially regarding a manager by the name of Sara whose niece is delivering your, food, I always provide specific instructions for the delivery person to call me when they get inside the building. 1st time her niece was over hour late food was cold I am a diabetic requested diet Dr. Pepper she gives me a warm bottle of regular sugar Dr Pepper which exploded all over personal items. I spoke to the male manager (great guy) who has known me for years as being a good customer had me to speak to the owner Abe, I did that time he apologized and said to get another pizza, and diet Dr pepper, my adult kids said to not bother but unfortunately I continued to order spending an average of $30 to $50 not including $5-$10 tips.

2nd time of Sara's niece again being the delivery person, knowing to call did not call me, this was 2/11/2024, I called her aunt then her aunt calls her then she calls finally and I am standing between the fire door that partitions the front and rear door listening to her talking to the males, allegedly responsible for my home invasion.

My home had been burglarized a month prior and my neighbors see her talking to one of the guys who allegedly participated in the burglary of my home inside the building telling her to knock on my front door and her doing exactly that verses the given instructions and laughing and flirting with these low life creeps. I heard them tell her that I was probably in the back of my condo which was none of her business nor theirs in regards to where ever I am, inside my home because she was given instructions to call the phone number provided. I was very angry after I quietly opened the back door and heard her talking to these so called males around her age, So I called the owner (Abe) who did not adequately generate professional customer service etiquette to me as a customer, causing me to feel further victimized by his negative verbiage and by his ignorant delivery person. [PLEASE BE AWARE OF HER], she is of Latino ethnicity, either request another delivery person, or no longer order from this location. The prior delivery people never engaged in conversation with people other than their customer, but they are no longer there. My adult children, their spouses besides other family and friends refuse to order from any Rosati's period due to the negative ignorance displayed by the owner Abe, in regards of his lack of properly reprimanding a person who does not follow instructions but involves herself with males whom are involved in illicit activity verses respecting a long time customer. Order elsewhere not at this place! His brother owns the Rosati's on Geneva, much cleaner, it has a bar inside, as well as slot machines, his brother and I have known each other for a huge amount of years, besides he recently found out his wife and I attended the same...

The food was good. I ordered a calzone and it was the same quality as I have received from other Rosati's locations. I would give the food 5 stars. However, I made the mistake of picking up my order from this location. I would give the ease of ordering, the store set up, and payment options 0 stars. This store is not made for social distancing. Only about 2-3 people can safely be in the store at a time. Everyone lined up outside the door and waited their turn. As the weather gets colder, this will be horrible. There were about 7 or more people in line behind me when I left, with most waiting patiently outside. It took about 10 min to pick up my food. I ordered online but I could not pay online. The website did not have an online payment option. The credit card machine at the store had issues. Both my credit card and the person in front if me had issues being read by the credit card. This is what caused the large line to form. My food was done exactly at the time I said I would arrive, and it was. I just didn't know that I should have added 10 minutes to the pick up time. I have ordered from a pizza competitor during this pandemic, and they handled it amazingly. I have also ordered from several chain restaurants in the area, and they have all handled the pandemic situation well. I expected Rosati's in Carol Stream to also handle this situation well. I was very disappointed. I would order from Rosati's again, but not from this location during...

Food is decent enough, but service could be better. The girl who works up front is SUPER nice, and I would give an extra star if she had been the person I dealt with today. The man who rang me up today was a little rude. I ordered a slice of pizza with a side of ranch...he rang me up, basically shoved the triangular box of pizza toward me, and when I asked about the ranch, he said "it's $0.60." I had already paid, I said "I'm not paying again, for $0.60. No one else ever charges for it." He just goes "anything else?" So I said "can I have a bag, please?" And he looked at me like I had three heads. He says "you want a bag? For what?" Um...my pizza? He sighs heavily and puts my pizza in the bag, never saying "thanks" or "come again soon!" or any other pleasantry that most employees at other businesses might say when a customer leaves. Maybe he was having a bad day, but every time I'm there, I pray that the woman will be at the register because she's at least nice, and he ALWAYS seems to be having a bad day. I've met the owner a couple of times and he's always been extremely nice, and quick with a smile and a joke, but this other guy could probably use a little refresher course in customer service. Food is pretty good though, most of the time! I like that they sell pizza by the slice...very convenient when I need a...
