I don't eat from Waffle House very often, but they've always been pretty good. This is one of the better ones, and even though I've only eaten here just once, it's probably the best of all the franchises I have visited. The atmosphere at this Waffle House amplifies that. The employees treated me as if they had known me their entire lives, especially the waitress. The other customers (obviously regulars) seemed like they knew the staff very well, so there was a very jovial rapport between them. The food is what you'd expect from a Waffle House: nothing fancy, but it gets the job done. I always make the mistake of ordering two plates of waffles whenever I go to a Waffle House, which is always great to eat, but fills me up for the rest of the day. That's not a bad thing; I'm just saying. Visiting here fueled me up for the rest of the day, I was very happy to have stopped by in the first place. It's also very clean, which is a major selling point for any restaurant. I don't know when I'll be back to Carroll County, but I look forward to stopping...
Read moreWe arrived intending to only have coffee. The table was dirty and covered with gnats. After the table as cleaned, and left very wet, my wife decided to order food. The waitress acted put out because we wanted food now. While we were eating the waitress came over with a big bucket of sugar, put it right in the middle of the table and said, give me that sugar. She then proceeded to fill it and then leave it in the middle of the table for us to put back. About 30 minutes after we had been there, the waitress came over and told us that people were waiting for the table and we had to go. At the time, there were three empty booths and nobody waiting for a table. I really regretted giving her a 33% tip and told her she didn’t have to be rude. She then proceeded to say she wasn’t rude and for us to have a nice day. I recommend that everyone avoid the Carrollton Waffle House off of Highway 71 exit 44. It’s dirty and the staff is rude. Once she got her tip, in spite of bad service, we had to go....
Read moreThe first time my husband and I decided to stop in at the Carrollton, KY Waffle House location to eat supper was Thursday, December 2nd. Upon entering we seen that the side to the far right was blocked off for Christmas decorating. We realized that the only available handicap accessible tables were on that particular side. My husband is a paraplegic and the only available seats unoccupied were the tall chairs at the "bar" which he would not be able to sit in. We waited at least 10 minutes or so before we were finally able to grab the lady's attention behind the counter and asked if we could sit on that side at the far end out of the way of them decorating. She then proceeded to ask one of the two people that was decorating, "Miguel, can they sit over there?" Without acknowledging our presense he snapped "no" very hatefully. My husband was denied a place to sit and that was very disrespectful. We will NEVER attempt to return...
