So I drove 2 1/2 hours from Indiana to stay at this hotel on a Friday evening for a race I had early the next morning. The temperature was running hot and humid hovering around 90. I was desperately looking for a good nights rest as I am an elite runner who' had to be up by 5:30 am AM the next morning. When I arrived at the front entrance I noticed a pregnant gal on her cell phone walking around the parking lot heading in after she saw me walk in still on her cell phone to the front desk who turned out to be the desk clerk. While already not impressed with this impression, I proceeded to my room on the second floor to find that it was hotter inside my room than outside and very musty smelling since there was no air on in the room. I quickly called down to the front desk to make the gal aware of the issue and requested a different room. She laughed and proceeded to tell me none of the rooms Have the air left on when not in use. She also let me know that if I just turn the air on it would cool down rather quickly in the room. So against my better judgment I turned the air on to see what would happen. After waiting approximately 45 minutes to an hour I was still sweating and frustrated since I was wanting to get to bed and to sleep soon. So I proceeded to walk down to the desk to let her know that one of the key cards did not work which I found out by going out to my car and could not get back into the building. The first thing the gal told me was that I must have put the card near my phone, of which I responded I did not even have my phone on me and thought what was quite presumptuous of her . I let her know once again my room was still very hot and I was not looking forward to sleeping in my own sweat but she laughed once again and said that she assured me in the next 20 minutes it should cool down. All the while she was juggling her cell phone and I heard her speaking in reference to her fiancé. I proceeded to try and lay down in the bed and get some rest only to lay there drenched in sweat and finally broke down after about 45 minutes trying to give this gal the benefit of the doubt and called down to the desk once more to inform her that nothing is really change and I could no longer take the heat in that room and it was unacceptable. She proceeded to get snippy and sarcastic and told me there was only one other room next to me. That I could try but it would probably be just as hot. I asked if she could check to see if the room was any cooler and she stated that she could not leave the desk and I would need to come down to pick up the card and check it out myself. Needless to say I was extremely frustrated and when I got down to the desk and let her know that I was frustrated with this situation and needing to get some rest for a very important event in the morning she began yelling at me and telling me I should have come down sooner to let her know the room was not cooling down. At that point I was furious and reminded her of my repeated attempts to get her to fix the situation when I first arrived. I then requested to speak to a manager of which she replied I am the manager. I let her know she needed serious work on her customer service skills and she began screaming at me and even threatened to kick me out or call the police. I let her know that would be fine with me if she called the police and then I walked upstairs to find another blistering hot room so when I returned with the key card and put it on her desk I heard her speaking to an actual manager on the phone asking him what she should do about me and the situation. I also heard her lie and say I was being the one who was ridiculous and belligerent so I let her know across the desk that I would be speaking to her manager of which she never allowed me to do so nor would she give me the number so this is my only way of communicating my horrible experience and quite frankly the worst hotel and front desk clerk I've ever experienced in my 45 years. And I have visited over 100 hotels in my many travels. So just...
Read moreA few weeks ago I came to the state to visit family, when we were close we called this location to ask prices and availability. When we got there the guy looked at us with distgust like he really didn't want us there and gave is a higher price than what he gave over the phone. We were kind of upset about how he was treating us and we went outside to discuss whether or not we wanted to just stay there anyway or go somewhere else. We were exhausted from the 2 day drive so we got out children out of the car and decided to stay. The guy treated us so disgustingly, he actually said we couldn't stay there after all when he saw our kids and said that kids are dirty and they make lots of mess so we could not get a room. I'm convinced this guy is either racist or hates kids or both. I can't believe that someone who works in the service industry could conduct themselves with such contempt and hatred towards other people for no reason. We went to the Red Roof Inn instead which was basically next door, they were very, very nice there and their prices were even better for the weekly deal. I highly recommend the Red Roof Inn in Carrollton, KY but definitely not...
Read moreThis place had very smelly rooms. We found semen stains on bed spreads. Asked for another room. Found more semen stains, hair and dirty sheets. Urine on toilet seat. Asked for our money back. They said no they would give me another room. (By the way we have traveled all day and we are tried and short fused.) So I said you will refund my money. The clerk them says we have to wait 2 to 3 days for money back on card. I said them I want cash back for a room at another hotel. She says they don't do that. And if I don't calm down she will call the police. Oh no she did not....i called the police. When they got there they inform me that they have had complaints for the same thing before. They also have trouble getting them to refund the money. He gave us a card and said to call if we don't get money back. So we proceed to the hotel across at red roof inn. We we tell them about what happened and they also know about them. I will never stay at a super 8...
