I was very disappointed tonight. I went with my family to the Carson city Sonic's Drive thru, because they were promoting all shakes half off. We were excited as we always loved Sonic's and were excited they had this promotion. We placed our order 8 shakes and 1 order of onion rings.They did had a few orders before us as there were vehicles parked and cars raced to get to the drive thru. My sister in law and her husband were one stall over. We were in stall #12 and they were in stall #13. They too had ordered fries and corndogs. An employe with a green dragon outfit came out to hand them their food. She saw us in that stall. Our screen still had order in process in the kitchen sign, so we waited. After 35 minutes waiting all the cars gone and drive thru cleared, my brother in law called to ask how much would our order take. All we had ordered were shakes and onion rings. The lady on the other end told him that they had came out tried calling our stall and no one answered, so they threw them all away. She also said there was no car in stall #12. I immediately called them and same lady answered the call. I asked them how much longer would our order take. She told me "I'm sure the gentlemen in stall #13 already told you what happened, but we went out there called and no one answered, so we threw away all 8 shakes! I told her no one had came out of course I wasn't going to wait with my window down, because we live in Nevada and it was cold, but even if they had attempted to go out with our order and looked if there was a car they would have clearly seen a Nissan Armada (big car) sitting in that stall. They not once attempted to call us through the order speaker. I then asked her "so your not going to make our order?" She said "I told you we already threw away the shakes, because no one answered!"She said " You have to place it again on the screen" I can overlook the fact that maybe they didn't see the car or called and we didn't answer like they had claimed happened, so why not make it right? Why not take my order again, apologize and bring out our ordert.Isn't that what establishments are supposed to do? Make it right? I had kids in the car that were upset they didn't get a shake for the ride home! Instead she was rude, unapologetic and unprofessional. I asked her to speak to the manager, she replied " your talking to her" I said "I'm sure your not the general manager who is above you?" she said "Aaraceli" If that is truly her name and she gets to read this. This is beyond disappointing, lying to the customer and dismissing them. I'm pretty sure because it was almost closing time they didn't want to make the shakes. I hope something is done about this. I have never felt so upset to get me to go online and write a review. I work in customer service and clearly this place needs a more training....
Read moreI stopped by the other night and didn't realize they closed at 10pm. I got there at 1001 and while waiting wasn't sure if the menu board lights went out (since places have technical issues all the time). I did look for hours of operation on the menu board but didn't see any. Finally, after several minutes of sitting there with no contact from staff, I looked up the hours of operation online and found out they closed at 10pm. When I went to the window to get the customer satisfaction number, suddenly employees wanted to talk to me. I told them I was unhappy that they let me sit there for some time without contacting me to tell me they were closed. All they could say is "we're closed" until another employee (heavyset lady with brownish hair) came to the window and started screaming that I came in late. She knew that because she SAW me come in and sitting there. There excuse for not being able to even give a courtesy notification that they closed? She took off her headset. This location has always been subpar as far as Sonic's go so I guess I shouldn't be surprised by this complete lack of service ethics. Perhaps, if this is the same owner as the Fallon location, workers should be sent there to see how customer service goes. I mean, you admit you see a customer come in and sit waiting and because it's so difficult to put a headset on and say "we're closed" or, even pop outside the door? Read moreOrdered online. Followed instructions to the T . App said check in when you arrive. I went on the app and it said to input the stall you are at and we will be right out. All stalls had tape around them so I parked in a convenient spot right in front of a stall and sent the number. App says Great! We will be out shortly to stall 7. No one ever came. I finally walked up to the door after sitting 10 feet away from the window for over 20 minutes, watching the people inside take turns pointing and looking at my vehicle. I assume wondering why I have not just figured it out on my own. When I got to the door and they finally answered, they said sorry but all our stalls are closed due to covid. You were supposed to go through the drive through. No signs, no instructions online, nothing. In other words, dont bother ordering online, it took way more time then it would have if I just ordered in the drive through.
