Was a first time experience and definitely a last for this location. Mike and a rather pierced young lady working the prize counter were the only employees here who had any sort of customer service, everyone else had a lack luster attitude and acted like we were a bother. The bar was slightly dirty when we sat, pretty much every other seat looked sticky so it a was a choose your best situation for bar seating. The bartender, Chicago, was dry, not welcoming. We got a keg to share because we were told the kegs were $30, which we thought was a spectacular deal. It did end up being about 8 drinks so it is okay, but what followed wasn’t. We had a coupon for a free appetizer, which was to be scanned at checkout. We got the barbacoa quesadilla which was good but it is a small sized, thin quesadilla so definitely go for something larger if you’re more hungry. It also took longer than anticipated to arrive, when there were not many people when we ordered. We went and played games for a few hours with our debit card on hold at the bar for our tab, after clarifying with the bartender we could do so. Mind you, we are fully walking around the entire game area during this. We never left. Shockingly, at 8pm when we went to cash out, they originally couldn’t locate my husbands debit card and told us they didn’t know where it was. After we pointed out our original bartender, she told us she had closed our tab already! This was so surprising to my husband and I, especially considering we mentioned to Chicago that we had a coupon! Without thinking too much, we had our card returned back to us and tipped (unfortunately this is one of the few times I do regret tipping). We get home and to our surprise, again, our card was charged $59.51!! This did NOT add at all to what we were told. Not only were we denied the chance to use our coupon, we were not told the true price of what we ordered. I am not exaggerating when I say from the bartender to the later shift prize desk clerks, everyone other than Mike and that polite young lady had a bad attitude, and the only reason we saw mike was because our keg had originally not worked when we first received our beverages. From about 4pm-6pm the crowd is extremely manageable and Wednesdays I believe the coins are discounted? Anyway, the only positive was the games. Only one was non functional the entire time we were there, otherwise the ones that didn’t work were repaired fairly quickly and other were completely functional, with the one or two here and there that are wonky just due to it being an arcade game. After 6/6:30, of course it got decently busy and nothing was done about the children or adults yelling or acting more disruptive than just excitedly enjoying the games. There were a variety of rewards in exchange of tickets, definitely better than the average bowling alley arcade or chuck e cheese. The food was enjoyable and the games were fun but not enough to...
Read moreI love this place simply because it is the best atmosphere for fun!! Me and my son love coming here on Saturdays around 11am and sometimes 12 noon. We play games, win some prizes and just have loads of fun and rack up on rewards for food. My ONLY problem with this location is the service from the restaurant side. Barry who is their hostess has one of the worst attitudes I have ever seen for a hostess. We requested a booth because my mother has back problems and he wanted to sit us at a high table. He begins to tell me about rotation and not double seating servers and basically telling me ya'll gone sit here and that's it. We had this problem with him before, he was rude and nasty, didnt know anything about the Eat and Play when we asked him how it worked and was very dismissive. He even tried to tell us "go sit on the other side then". Um no sir, we do not want to sit on the side where they play games at because we don't want to sit where people are walking and running back and forth when we are trying to eat. He even got upset about that too. He puts up a front like he is nice but he is not nice to the African American people but oh so jolly to the white customers. He has a complete NASTY spirit. Then he proceeds to tell me, he is going to get the manager. Ok go right ahead, that's not a problem. Well, Katelyn the manager never graced our presence as a manager should KNOWING there was a problem. No matter how small or big, managers are supposed to address AND solve the problem and that is what she did NOT do. After we were seated and our drinks were ordered, (Miles who was VERY nice, pleasant and helpful), we noticed another party was having the same issue and Katelyn decided to go help them but not us. The only difference between us and them is black and white. She didn't move an inch for us but came slam out that kitchen for them. I did not appreciate that AT ALL. My money is green just like theirs and speaks volumes about her as a so called manager and as a person. I pray there will be someone who is a delight at the hostess stand and not someone rude, on their phones or even have an attitude like they don't wanna be here and I pray there will be a manager who care about people and know how to treat EVERY person who comes through those doors. This isn't about black or white, this is about being treated fairly ESPECIALLY in an environment that is designed...
Read moreI have been a long-time and frequent customer of Dave and Busters, but my recent visits have been consistently disappointing, particularly with the Cali Avo Caesar Salad.
During my visit yesterday, I ordered the Cali Avo Caesar Salad with blackened shrimp. The first time it was delivered, it was missing chicken and the avocado. The shrimp barely looked cooked. I expressed my concerns to the manager, who promised to rectify the situation. However, when my salad arrived 15 minutes later, it had chicken this time, but the shrimp were burnt and shriveled up. I told the manager that this was not blackened shrimp. He wanted to take the entire plate with him, but as I was extremely hungry at this point, I requested that the plate remain and that he bring the correct shrimp. After several minutes with no resolution, I requested my check. The server informed me that the manager had comped the meal, but the experience was already soured.
On another occasion, I ordered the same salad, and the chicken was cold, the shrimp were great, but the salad was a concoction of lettuce drenched in a sauce that tasted like watery ranch rather than Caesar. It was also missing avocado, parmesan, croutons, and tomatoes.
Additionally, the dining area tables and seats aren't being wiped down properly after each customer has departed and I find myself having to clean the area prior to my child sitting down. I have also noticed a decline in the condition of the games and the options for ticket redemption. Many machines are often out of order, and the area where you redeem tickets for prizes is frequently understocked. When the location first opened, the quality and variety were impressive, but it seems to be deteriorating over time.
It's disappointing that despite being a loyal customer, these issues have not been addressed internally. I hope Dave and Busters will review these concerns and work towards improving the consistency and quality of their menu items, as well as maintaining and restocking their gaming and prize...
