Went on Saturday and got a mocha latte. Asked if it came with whipped cream and was told that it doesn't which is great because I loathe whipped cream. Went back on Monday and ordered the same drink, albeit a different clerk. When I took a sip, I immediately realized that it had whipped cream. I went back inside for a new one. The clerk didn't even try hide how pissed off she was. And told me that I should have let know before making it. When I explained that I had been there the day before and was told it didn't normally come with whipped cream, she smugly told me that they were closed on Sundays and that I obviously must have been elsewhere. I corrected myself and said i meant Saturday but she had already stormed off to the sink where she grabbed a spoon and removed the whipped cream and then handed me back the coffee. I said that I wanted a new one and she growled and stomped over and made another drink. When she was finished she left it at the end of the counter, came back to the register where i was waiting and said, it's over there. Next. And procededp to help the next customer. Obviously, I will never go back. And both times I was there, the were out of many items on the menu. Tried to order a vanilla frappe and they were out of vanilla. Tried to order white chocolate and they were out. And apparently the clerk used up all of the whipped cream on my latte. Seriously, it was 8:17 am and they...

I was up all night with a two month old, out of coffee at the house, and thus got two kids dressed and in the car at 7am on no sleep and no coffee. Dropped 2 year old off at daycare and stopped at Java Jive for the first time. All I wanted was coffee...badly. I went in half asleep, holding my 2month old and after ordering a medium coffee I realized I only had one dollar bill in my wallet. I was told $5 minimum for credit card purchases. Even after explaining to the kid behind the counter that while I have no doubt that is their policy, he could in fact accept my credit card he still refused. I actually said in disbelief, "So I'm just going to walk out without coffee", to which he replied "Yeah...sorry". It was a surreal experience. So I walked out (still carrying the sleeping 2 month old), went to Whole Foods and got coffee...with a CARD! Good job Java Jive on saving that nickel on processing fees! I go to a LOT of local coffee shops and the ALL accept cards. Coffee is a high volume / low $ transaction business. If in fact Java Jive pays exorbitant transaction fees, that is on them. It is absurd to choose a credit card processing plan that does not cater to your business. Needless to say, I won't be back and I will...

this was an interesting place. ordered the iced matcha, and i’m not quite the fan of the taste- it’s a poor quality matcha powder. though i get that matcha shortage is around, but it almost downright undrinkable with how bitter it ended up. my service was good, i conversed briefly with the employees before retiring to the seats- and that’s when the start of some troubling observations started.

in terms atmosphere, it’s a cosy nook, but i can’t say i’d stay here for long. i read the previous reviews earlier about the chair stain, and it’s still present. i noted a start of some mold on the ceiling— i do hope they take care of that soon. as well in my stay, i’ve found there to be an excess of bugs coming my way. i’ve came to be quite acquainted with some roaches i spotted on my stay.

overall, my stay specifically wasn’t quite to my standards, and i would say that it makes it difficult, considering i felt like i was at a dingy bar. a more energy and light should spruce up the air, and hopefully take care of that mold and bug situation before...

What idiot starts a business on majority small fare drinks then doesn't accept the most common method of payment. You're overcharging for the coffee as it is! If you can't pay your transaction fees get a different processor or charge more, don't turn away customers. This is idiotic. This place will either change it's practices or go out of business all together, i hope it's the former but it will likely be the latter seeing the other reviews on these idiots.

If you’d like to spend 4 dollars on a cup of water with a Luzianne tea bag in it this is the place for you. The barista seemed annoyed we were asking for tea (this place literally has Tea in the business name). I ordered a chai tea and received a chai latte instead. Beware if you’re lactose. Also the regular hot tea was a cup of lukewarm water. We won’t be back.

Today I visited Java Jive for the first time. It’s very small and cozy with eclectic furniture and decor. It has a smooth and relaxing atmosphere and affordable beverages. They also feature artwork and pottery by local artists. I really enjoyed my strawberry with a milk cap. This will definitely be a meeting spot for my friends and I in the future!
