Harold D. Ritter Park — Attraction in Cary

We absolutely love this park. Hands down one of our top 5 parks in Cary. It is a smaller playground that a lot of the parks around, but it had everything you need. A 3-5 year old and 5-12 year old playground, a sand box, and swings. There is a baseball field right by the playground and a basketball court as soon as you pull into the area. It does has a restroom area. We 5 & 3 year old love the walking trail there too! It has two parking lots and and a picnic table area. My favorite part is the trees in the center of the park! We come here for baseball games. The fields are fine, though the third-base dugout on Field 2 gets the sun straight in their eyes in the evening. The bathrooms are centrally-located, which is kind of a pain if you're already at the game. However, the bathrooms are maintained well as you'd expect at a Cary park.

So, the park was full of young children and their parents. It was refreshing to see parents actually parenting their kids. Teaching them how to share and be curious. The park must've been full from 3 until we left around 5:30.
