Mr. Baja Taqueria — Restaurant in Casa Grande

Today I had family visiting me from Texas, so it's very difficult to please Texanswhen it comes to Mexican food here in Arizona. My Nephew had the 2 Red chili enchiladas and his wife had Asada fries, they were totally satisfied!! I had the Red and Green Chiliquiles, yes you can get both sauces on the same plate! I have been looking for Chiliquiles that were close to what I would get in Texas, these are just as good!!

QuesoBirria Tacos! Yes it seems that everyone is serving them these days. But , I’ve had many from several restaurants here in Casa Grande and very few really live up to the hype. In this case Mr Baja has nailed it!

Every bite has a great taste and it doesn’t pull all the meat when you take a bite. What that means is that the Birria was cooked to perfection!

The service is top notch and the ambiance is very relaxing and chilled. I’m looking forward to coming on a Saturday night and trying the bar and on a Sunday morning for the Menudo!

If you haven’t been to Mr Baja in Casa Grande I urge you to make it a point to pull off Cottonwood Lane and have a wonderful dining experience with a great staff and some very delicious...

So I LOVE this place yet get SO FRUSTRATED. So the food isnt consistent. Not sure if its different cooks or people not caring. When u order drive thru 1st the speaker is HORRIBLE and 3 out of 5times I did drive thru it was a younger girl maybe 18/20 and she strugged with taking my order. The tacos are ALWAYS a mess cuz they dont wrap in foil or pack individually, When you go thru drive thru . I like thier fish,shrimp n chicken tacos. The chicken was juicy and tender yet not covered in sauce which is rare find. However the grilled fish/shrimp tacos ALWAYS are too greasy the tortilla just crumbles upon trying to pick up this is why double tortilla is used in most taco spots. The battered shrimp is better then thier grilled. Now we went inside and ate there this last time. The inside was a turn off..things felt dirty . . The water IS TAP water which in az definitly has a NASTY taste. Even adding lemons didnt help. The server was minimal effort. Also I was told they only had 1 size drink large which was more a medium. 06/30/22 I just cant get over ther lousy service here, today's waitress was so yappy with the cook, I had to go ask her for My drink! Why do I even bother!!

EDIT: I'm going from 4 star to 2.. Evertime we go there service is so bad! My Husband and I were there Friday 12/3/21, I sat down, He went to RR, I asked waitress for a beer, she grabbed it out of the cooler and went to the back! We sat and waited for Her to come out, I walked toward register and She was standing behind the wall texting!

So, I Went through the drive thru, they put a light pole right in the turn of the drive thru, and its really a tight turn for a Truck, so we really have to be careful.. I ordered 4 rolled tacos with cheese and guacamole, they were so delicious..
