After hearing much about this place from a coworker, I decided to celebrate my Step Dad here today for lunch. On 1st impressions, the place is kinda small for the amount of people they seem to get. The entrance is a bit of a problem: soon as you open the door you're faced with a greeting counter where people might already be getting checked out, which then forces anyone trying to come in to have to wait outside with the door open as to not obstruct the already tiny and high trafficked hallway to the second eating area. Now, for the food: My step dad tried the Coctel Maleficio, I picked up the Chilaquiles Mixtos (Red & Green) and the Wifey got the Carne Asada Torta. The presentation of the Maleficio was FLAWLESS. Definitely know what their doing there and since my step dad made it disappear, I figured he thoroughly enjoyed it. The Chilaquiles arrive late to the party. And I mean LATE. Everyone at the table received their food at the same time... except me. It was about another 20 minutes easily before I received my food, which I get it, the place only got busier since the moment we arrived. Anyhow, when they did arrive, let's just the wait was worth it. My personal favorite were the Red Chilaquiles which surprised me with the Spice kick. Now, The Carne Asada Torta: On first glance it looked appealing... and then I heard it "...the bread is really hard." I wish that was all the negative about it but then "...and the meat is also quite tough to bite into..." followed. Our server was helpful and accommodating, if anything, they honestly seem to have quite a few too many people behind the desk either just chatting or standing around. Good food but definitely on the pricey side of things.

We stopped into Taco Giro on recommendation and were very disappointed. For a restaurant in central Arizona I was hoping for some good Sonora style food. It was more of a Midwestern Mexican food. Our meals were both just bland, no spice. The Enchiladas Sauzas green sauce was tart. The chicken inside was dry and overcooked. The beans tasted canned. The Mexicana Burrito with its two sauces was also a disappointment. The green sauce was also tart. The second red sauce was better, but nothing to rave about. The really sad part was the carne asada. It was chopped into such small pieces that it was chewy from being overcooked. The rice was almost over cooked. The best part of the meal was the guacamole on the plate. There will not be a future visit to try anything else. In the future we will stick to the local old fast food stop off Florence to deliver amazing food and skip this place.

**update today, post Covid** Great food, great service, clean efficient, really like it end to end. Weve been here at leasy a dozen times and all good results since our first couple. We always order the same things! Breakfast chorizo plate and Huervos Rancheros, flour tortillas. I got all refried beans this time. ** Great food for breakfast Chorizo plate and good service with fresh coffee. Post-Covid opening. HOWEVER, cheapest thinnest tiniest plastic cutlery I've ever received. I thiufh we might be on a remote Mexican beach cafe service carryout rolled tacos and beans. I expect more, real silverware, like we got in the past. Come on, dont be this cheap. We went in weekday maybe 930am without wait, last week. Good experience except trying to eat with the horrid flimsey cutlery.

This was my first time to Taco Giro. I'll share our entire experience because I always feel it's important to share all feedback whether it's good or if there's room for improvement.

We went on Saturday night at 6pm, and were seated promptly. The server came over fairly quickly and took our drink orders. We sat for a while and wondered if they offered chips and salsa, we had to ask for that but we did get some, they apologized for the wait and they were good. At one point the GM asked if we wanted to try their spicy salsa and he brought us a cup and let me tell you that stuff was fire!! Soooo good, smoky and spicy, I loved it! Now....the menu here is HUGE! I ordered a combo with one shrimp and one fish taco. My friend ordered the oysters montados and asked if it was possible to get a steak quesadilla on corn tortilla because of a gluten allergy. The server said yes. The oysters came out first and while I did not try them, they were loaded, beautiful and the presentation was incredible! My friend raved about them. I then got my tacos, I'd asked for no beans and I got beans. Not a big deal, but I can't have beans...I was only disappointed because the rice was so fluffy and delicious I would loved rice only like I asked. Again no big deal my friend took the beans. But then the server came back saying they couldn't do the quesadilla after all so my friend looked at the menu again. A while after that the GM came by and said they could do it after all, but since the corn tortillas were smaller they would do a few instead of one large flour quesadilla. That worked for my friend and all was well on that. He asked how everything else was, I mentioned the beans and that I was surprised my seafood tacos were loaded with tomatoes, usually seafood tacos have more of a dressed lettuce on top and that's it but here they pile on toppings. By no means a complaint I just don't like chunky tomatoes and was simply giving feedback...I picked those off and I know for next time to hold the tomatoes. I just hate to waste food that I won't eat and will just get tossed. Honestly though they were the best tacos I've ever had and will absolutely order them again next time. At this point we just got my friend's quesadillas to go because we were pretty much finished with the rest of our food. They didn't even charge us for them, which was unnecessary we would have happily paid for them. Overall, we loved everything, our server was so sweet, the GM was accommodating and personable. The few "missteps" were overshadowed by the amazing food and service. I already want to go back for those tacos! Definitely 5...

Today I got the worst service I have ever received at a restaurant before. we were seated and shortly after a table of 6 we’re seated next to us. the waiter came around and took our order, when he dropped off our food he immediately turned away and walked away, I didn’t even have a chance to ask for what I needed. Shortly after he dropped the food off at the table next us and smiled asked how the food looked and shared laughs with the costumers they asked him for salsa, he started to walk into the kitchen and just as he went in, I locked eyes with him so he had to come ask what I needed. I asked him for green salsa, He goes in the kitchen and comes out with the salsa for the table of 6 but not mine, so I looked over and signaled him and he says “oh I’ll be back” brings my green salsa a short while after and as soon as he dropped it off he was already turning to check on the table of 6 and he didn’t give me a chance to ask him for a refill on my girlfriends sprite which was empty the entire time. So we sat there waiting to be acknowledged for a few minutes Meanwhile he kept checking on the other the table of six and talking to them. He kept fidgeting with his phone and made a couple phone calls avoiding even looking towards our table. Finally we asked another waiter for refill, which was brought to our table as soon as we asked. Halfway through our meal I ran out of beer but our waiter never came back to our table until he decided to drop off the tab after we had been waiting for it for a while. When he dropped off the tab he mixed it up with someone else’s and we let him know, he snatched out of my girlfriends hand and drops the correct one on top of her hands instead of handing it to her, without even looking at us or apologizing for his mistake and runs over to take a picture of the people on the other table for them. Screw us right? I NEVER EVEN GOT A CHANCE TO ASK HIM FOR A SECOND DRINK!

I have never felt like my business was so unwanted before. This waiter obviously was only paying attention to the table he thought would give him the bigger tip. Guess what buddy they win because the service we received deserved no tip at all. I will never come back to this...

Arrived as a result of a Google search. We visited on the 4th of July and truly appreciated them being open over the holiday. Parking lot and building exterior appeared clean and free of any noticable issues. Warmly welcomed upon arrival by the friendly and highly professional hostess staff. Our party was seated almost immediately without a wait. The dining area was clean and odor free. Restrooms were clean, fully functional and well stocked. Wait staff made contact shortly afterwards and our beverage order was immediately taken. We elected to have ice waters with lemon and they immediately arrived at warp speed. The menu at Taco Giro is immense and can often prove problematic, almost overwhelming to navigate based on it's sheer size and impressive scope. With minimal assistance we were able to place our desired food orders. Our food selections arrived tableside at what I considered a very brief and impressive time frame. Our food arrived hot, fresh and delicious with excessive inviting tasty smells as a bonus. Our waiter visited frequently and ensured that our waters never ran dry. While the food was fantastic and without issue, the level of quality tableside service was undeniably the star of the visit. Overall we had a great visit free of any issues or problems. It was extremely refreshing to once again experience top notched customer service in the post pandemic world. We felt treated, but most importantly, we felt valued, which is unfortunately unheard of anymore. Staff immediately cleared and aggressively cleaned nearby tables as quickly as they vacated. The level of cleaning efforts exhibited by the staff was simply very impressive.

Could easily award x6 stars.

🇺🇸🇺🇸 Taco Giro proudly extended a 10% military discount, a voluntary action that is always highly appreciated. 🇺🇸🇺🇸

Would highly recommend visiting this...
