Cafe Manuel — Restaurant in Casa Grande

3 Year Update - Thought well maybe 3 years they had cleaned up their act went to lunch the other day and walked over to where the poor dogs are kept just to take a peep. And wouldn't you guess still the same disgusting things going on! Their dogs are still kept in the most disgusting conditions feces everywhere and looks like some of the dogs are digging up the back yard you could see pipes kind of sticking out of the openings hope those aren't gas pipes or water main pipes could be a costly repair job for the owner's. I sure do hope that the City takes a closer look since they say on their website that you need to clean up after your pets everyday and take care of them just horrible that anyone would treat a living being this way wonder how they treat their family if they do this to their animals. I looked on the See Click and Fix app and someone else has reported this just yesterday and now the ticket it closed hopefully they sent someone to look into this otherwise I might have to send this to ASPCA.

1 star is being generous with these guys. Me and my family used to love coming here since the 1990's between the food and server's it was just a really good local restaurant for Casa Grande, AZ. One day we were leave after eating our meal and as we were leaving we saw the owner go into a shed that was behind their building across the alley. Now this building is not connected to the restaurant its part of the house right next to some apartments. Once they came out they had some food products that they got from that shed. We happen to take a quick look and next to this shed is what looks like a kennel or something that they keep about 3 dogs in. The dogs seem friendly but then that's when this god awful smell hit us. It was feces and not just your normal amount of feces where you have your kids pick it up every other day. No it was a bunch of feces that was right next to that same shed building that they had just come out of with food for their patrons! I couldn't believe it and was disgusted that they would have kept anything that is for the restaurant in there! I can't believe that when the Health Department does their inspection that they don't see this unless the owner's don't have that shed listed as an additional building they keep storage for their restaurant in. Just appalling and disgusting will never eat here...

I’ve been going to Cafe de Manuel’s for years and I’ve always have had a good experience and good service there, but today was not too good , Sylvia the waitress had an issue with the cash register and was telling the other Employee in a BAD TONE!! that the cash register was not working and being extra RUDE to her , I happen to say jokingly for her to “ Calm Down “ Sylvia then replied “ You Calm down” and I then told her that it isn’t Professional of her to treat a customer that way or to speak that way and that I for sure would let the Manager know about this conversation . She then said “ Let’s go outside “ I then told her “ let’s Go!!!!! Now I don’t know what or where that came from but it isn’t right for her to want to get physical with a customer for an issue that she was having and that did NOT have anything to do with me. I will be reporting this to the manager and all I know is that I’ll Never ever get treated like this again from her or anyone from there again !!!! I will be getting my ATTORNEY Involved !!!!!!!!for disrespect and mistreatment by her.!!!!!!!! She was even outside arguing with another customer because he didn’t pay his bill and threatened to call the Police on him, she handled the whole Conversation Unprofessional and Distruptive to all of the other customers , and staff some even look worried and scared , and all she had to do was let the manager handle it. And all me and my daughter had was 1 Cup of Menudo and water and it was $33 way over priced maybe they charge for the chips and Salsa that they serve you when...

We stopped in for lunch the service was good and the server handled the situation well however we ordered two combination plates both of which came with a cheese enchiladas ordered one with red sauce one with green . When it came on the plate it was a beef tamale on each plate covered in red sauce and the other with green . I personally care very little for tamales and less for an enchilada filled with anything other than cheese . When ordering fast food I'm not very picky , when dining in I am because it's easier to order exactly what one wants without imposing on time . The server stated that the cook was a new cook however I'm not sure we can use that reasoning behind the difference in a tamale and enchilada . Although it was noonish there were three tables having two customers at each , I found the menu to be somewhat pricey for the selected menu items . The atmosphere was good and again I'll have to give it to the Servers because without these gals "on the front lines " providing great customer service there would be an open door for dissatisfied customers of course that is my own thought and this was my experience .
