What a wonderful hidden gem on northwest part of San Antonio. I used to stop here in the mornings to get some tacos before walking to school down the street to L.E.E High School. It was at this place where I tried a taco norteno for the first time and have replicated (or at least tried to) in my own kitchen. This review is mainly about this fabulous yet simple little taco. The flour tortillas which envelope the tacos goodness are super soft and always perfectly fluffy. The taco norteno has a layer of re-fried beans, white Monterrey jack cheese, and chunks of fajita that, before it is grilled to perfection, marinates in a blissful combinations of spices, lime juice and comino (cumin. Lastly, and probably the most important part, the taco norteno is topped with slices of the greenest avocados from Mexico. It is a truly phenomenal combination that will leave you wondering why you never thought of it in the first place . You will try to replicate it in your own kitchen. You will fail. Just come here and pay and easy $2.45 for this gorgeous culinary masterpiece and accept it. You will not regret...

I wish there was a zero star review. Let me tell you about my experience. I asked for a water and received a water with a roach in it. Disgusting! I tried not to male a big deal out of it because it's embarrassing but they gave me a new water with the same straw in it. Dame aaaasco. Didn't drink the water. The food was dry especially without a water to drink. When I complained to the cashier about my experience she didn't even acknowledge me. She basically ignored me and shrugged as if it happens all the time. The manager was also unsympathetic. Didn't offer a discount or anything that would suggest they want repeat customers! This is bad business and very disgusting. All I know is when you see one roach there are tons more. Be careful when eating here diseases spread quickly.

Edit: tried submitting pictures of the roach but Google keeps blocking it. Trust...

This breaks my heart, ive been coming here for years its always been fantastic. However, over the last few months it has become downright terrible. The last three times we went in to sit down and eat lunch they brought my fiance the wrong food, made mine wrong, and were incredibly rude when we mentioned it. Then this morning we called in a to go order, which they messed up a little. But we were okay with it because it was an easy error to make. However, halfway into the taco they messed up, my fiance found several long hairs. When she called, the cashiers response was "okay, well what do you want me to do about it?" in a tone that suggested she didnt understand why we were upset. Sadly, we will not...

Totaling about $26.00 ordered: 2 Beef Milanesa Tortas & 2 Bean and cheese with Bacon with a Cocacola on the side. So sad, my husband was always raving about this restaurant and finally we went to the location of Blanco Rd and was super disappointed. Not sure what was worse, the missing beef & beans, no crema or mayo in the sandwiches, no cheese in the tacos, or the beans tasting a week old. The salsa didnt even salvage this. I like giving good reviews, but when it’s like this I rather be honest.

I visited this location during lunch time period I have to say it was very nice to walk into a very comfortable place that was neither not too hot and not too cold. They had specials for the day, right as you walk in and clear writing on a blackboard and able to be viewed easily. I ordered the enchiladas plate which was amazing! I wish to go back and order more off the menu here soon.

So I think the cook here needs to go to Tommy's on wurzbach and eat the enchilada & fajita plate to understand what its supposed to be.. I managed to eat the enchiladas , but seriously heb melting block cheese rolled in a plain corn tortilla would be better.. the fajitas where like grilled chanclas & about as tough. So much grease dude learn how to cook
