I ordered a steak sandwich and felt there was too much bread and not enough steak. My family doesn't like pizza; it tastes like leftovers and isn't flavorful. Will I return? Probably not. I know what authentic Cuban foods are supposed to be like, and this isn't it. My family is from Cuba, and I was raised in Hialeah, Florida, in Miami. I am familiar with genuine Cuban cuisine.

Nice find for some delicious dessert options. Just happened to stop by after dining in on pizza and spotted this spot before deciding to pick up some dessert for my spouse. They have plenty of options and the service provided was outstanding. Will stop by again to sample some more delicious treats.

A Taste of Miami in San Antonio

La Cubanita Bakery is a welcome addition to San Antonio's culinary scene. As a local, I'm thrilled to have a bakery that offers authentic Cuban pastries and treats. The moment you step inside, you're transported to the vibrant bakeries of Miami. Their menu is extensive, featuring classic favorites like guava pastelitos, flaky and sweet. Savory options abound, including croquetas, papas rellenas, and tortas. For a taste of Cuba's coffee culture, try their café cubano. They even offer unique dishes like pizza cubana, a fusion of Cuban and Italian flavors. The bakery shares ownership with Cuban Groceries, promising future additions to the menu. If you're unfamiliar with Cuban pastries, this is the perfect opportunity to indulge in a delightful...

They have a lot of variety of cakes and breads but from the 6 different ones we got, 5 were completely stale so here is the breakdown: Cookie: okeyish, very basic and a little dry Canolli: the shell completely soft and 0 crunch Cupcake: dry Little square with filling: good flavor but about to get hard and dry Pan de chocolate: it was held in, what looked like in a warmer (they are being basically dehydrated, so no go), totally dry, hard AND though. BUT, in the end I tried the Rollito de coco: and was delicious! Totally soft and moist not overly sweet. So there's potential but might not try then in a while. Cashier was...

Not what I expected. After placing order, took 45min-1hr to get takeout food, and everything came out staggered. So half the order got cold waiting on the rest of the order. Ropa Vieja was okay, black beans were good. Yuca fries were okay The Cuban sandwiches would have been great on the correct bread and with mustard. The bread it was served on was a sweetened soft bread. Kind of missed the mark on what I am used to from FL. They were out of a lot of the desserts, so I didn't get to try, but looks like that is where they may really shine. I would try again for the desserts, but will have to pass on the food...
