Pollos Asados Don Jose — Restaurant in Castle Hills

My girlfriend and I came here for the parrilladas and they were actually pretty good. The service and attitude from our waitress however..was horrendous.

We sat sat down and waited a good while before she barked “Ill be right with you!” from across the room (even though no one said anything yet).

When she did finally come over and took our orders Her energy was definitely off like someone had pissed in her cheerios. (The AC IS OUT so maybe that is the reason)

We enjoyed the food alot but when we needed things like extra tortillas or salsa she was no where… The restaurant was pretty empty and yet she hardly visited our table.

At the end she came into our section and asked two other tables directly beside us if they needed anything.. without checking on us she started walking away, I flagged her down and she just stood there without walking over to us so I asked for our check…

Later she took our cards to pay and just left them up front. We waited and waited and watched her continue to enter and exit the kitchen, touch the screen pad, ect ect…instead of just bringing our check back. We finally had to up to the cashier and ask if we could finally finish paying..

It was our first time here for a date. We loved the food and atmosphere (despite the AC being down) but definitely our last time here at Pollo...

The food was good. Our service was okay. But, I experienced a fall directly in front of the entrance to the restaurant. A worker, who I believe was the manager, discarded a slippery, sticky substance on the sidewalk creating a major hazard. The waitresses attended to me, but not once did the manager step out of the office to confirm that I was okay. Our meal was comped by the cashier, but absolutely no concern from the manager whatsoever. I had to instruct the workers to correct the hazard since no one was attempting to clean the substance from the entrance. They simply placed a caution sign next to it, but anyone entering or exiting the restaurant would still have to step in the substance. I left with cuts, scrapes and bruises on my legs and hands and my purse was damaged as well. What a...

I'm very upset.I called and the waitress on the phone explain me all the stuff on Parrila Jose on English, I ordered the whole parrillada and pay when arrived, but only get the half the waitress give me she only speaks all time on Spanish and I ask many times if only one bag was the whole, she only smiled and I don't know what she said. I never forget she wearsed gray tshirts and all time only speaks on Spanish. The cashier only had the phone on her hands and didn't help me. I'm was trying to found the waitress who made my order but i don't know who was, on the phone sound young adult I saw one little to come back the kitchen and speaks both but run around the tabkes.
