Always bought at this Central to town HEB. I decided to go in Christmas eve to buy a turkey. But, ended up buying $98.01. I put all my last minute groceries in the front passanger seat when I noticed my TP 6roll toilet paper was missing. I went back to the same exact Cashier & let her know. 3 Other women came by & said:" There is nothing there...sorry, etc., We can't see the cameras, etc., I stood there shocked with my receipt in hand.I even asked:" Well, does 1o need of you wish to go to my car... Worst, the old guards are gone so I asked the SAPD. Who said:" You do know I work for SAPD...So, It seems only HEB is represented to me. And, when I notice an item missing & go back this has never happened to me. I hardly think people in the area treated this way react well & there for the change in what used to be a quick stop regardless of where I was going, lived or forgot. And, I have been coming here since 1984 when I lived in El Mio. Receipt: 10764649122421185400178 6:54pm I went back in & rebought toilet paper. You can see that " on the cameras". But, that is not the point. HEB should close this store if it is going to mistreat customers, not honor its own receipts, and treat all as culpable of what very few are desperately doing . Or it should find a way to treat all equally and Manage a way not to be this way. HEB has never put good lights at this impoverished area. But, I am so tired about being stereotyped. And, I am sure a few of these locals react like this at this HEB because this whole town Gentrification is horrid. I congratulate all HEB employees but may these remember that it is the local population which helped HEB grow. It was those with the Local Latino accent. And, why did Central Market get a face lift & not San Pedro? Too poor? HEB contributes to this stereotype around these stores in that area. You have Vietnam Vets who have been arrested in the One down the street for " eating some grapes...I was met up with 6 cops!" As a former Military wife, the mother of 3 foreign war honorably discharged vets and old regular HEB patron This was it. Goodbye HEB and, it was worst at your HEB by the new main office_ a young Cashier about 4 years ago said:" Oh, look you are back...it is not for you...but, for tourists or people Who live in Lofts..." HEB has just forgotten how it got to be a fortune500 company...A foreign or all American accent is " in" all over the town_ Gentrification at every level! A Latino accent or middled age woman without a Somebody male is out...or even a poor man with pennies. Yes, There is a Day Labor Hall by this HEB_ yes, it is in a rough area in town_ That does not mean San Pedro is much to be desired...it is down the street in El Mio Apts where I took my baby son Who grew up to be a Marine_ like the brother after him & the brother after that( who might not look like a few of your employees might like or have the right accentl)Yes, it is a side of town where people from all over the world come to meet! But, the mostly poor not like in Central Market mostly well off_ If, you think we are unworthy close the store_ but, why would you not honor my receipt which you just gave me_ and practically accuse me of lying to you?! You had a cop_ I asked you to go to my car?! You stereotyped me & stole from me! And, owe poor people_ and, if any poor person steals you should discount it & not make a big deal over nonsense! I am through...This was my reminiscing HEB_ after surviving being a Border Patrol Agent, an ignorant Teacher & sub, a Miltary wife overseas, and believing equality would happen while I lived. As a professional Scorer I learned that Assessment companies call white accents colloquilism_ and, justify it. While this Spanish accent being a cross...eme along with my look which even Other Bougie with jobs Latinos along with many new comers stereotype me for & treat me like they would never another...forget you HEB and you did steal from me however little. And, I am Nobody like many of those poor people around the area_ where you have neglected to change that store...Give...

I go here almost everyday being that I live close. HOWEVER I’m thinking about wasting the extra gas to go to the heb at olmos. I worked for HEB when I was younger and let me tell you our number one job was customer service. The young females at the register are just plain out rude. The first time I had a bad experience the girl was having some kind of a dispute with the guy cashiers and when they tried to help her bag she responded Nah I got it , meanwhile she’s throwing my groceries bagging soap with fruits. I let it go assuming she was having a bad day. Today another young girl was checking me out and seemed upset she was not a 15 or less it was a regular check out , but I guess it bothered her that I was buying a lot of stuff , tomorrow is Easter so this is why I had so much. So I tried to make conversation with her about the store hours no response just a nod then on top of that not one thank you or anything half my stuff was not bagged. I know a brisket is big but you double bag that. I had to bag my own items. Oh and the young lady from the other day was right behind her making faces at the other customers not saying one word. Again these are the younger girls the older ones are so much nicer . These younger ones make you feel horrible buying alote of groceries because it is such a bother. So sad it use to be an amazing neighborhood HEB. They seriously need clean house and get people who are grateful to work for...

I wish I could rate less stars. I'll start off by saying the whole 5 15 items or less registers and 1 or 2 regular ones are straight ridiculous. This store is always packed and you can never get what you need and get out because you're dealing with long lines. My main concern was yesterday I went and bought a product I needed (why else do you buy things) and got treated like a common theif by one of the managers Sally. I bought the product, went home and back (less than 5 minutes) because it was missing half of what was supposed to be in there. After patiently explaining twice that I rather have the product than the money returned, Sally told me she was going to check cameras to verify the box was already opened prior to my buying it. She came back to say she didn't see any evidence of it being tampered with and said it was too much of a loss ($15.62) to just give me the money back. But if I want to wait til the next day she will get one for me. I told her I'd rather go myself to another HEB and get it, since I needed it at that time. She refused. So I went and got another (more expensive) product that didn't even have half of what the other did and paid the difference! I'm ticked to say the least. I was treated badly over $15. I won't return to this store again- I've spent thousands here the past few months since moving here and apparently they don't give two...

There was not a single cashier checking people out. They were all closed and only self service kiosks were available. This place is becoming Walmart as they are getting rid of employees for automated systems leading to increased unemployment. I absolutely refuse to use self service kiosks and I left without buying anything. HEB is supposed to be supporting the community, not driving up unemployment.

There is not nearly enough selection, the hours are shorter than most of the HEB in the entire San Antonio metro. Overheard some of the staff conversations which were sort of inappropriate. The layout of the store seems dysfunctional at best. I'd rather drive up to Wurzach to the 24-hour HEB, or over to West Avenue because they're open an hour or two later in the evening.

I like the deals and left happy without feeling like my wallet took a big hit. More bang for your buck. I laughed at the sight of a flat marranito...had never seen that.
