Yianni's Diner — Restaurant in Castle Shannon

After much anticipation, Yianni’s Diner has finally opened its doors, and let me tell you—it was absolutely worth the wait! Being just a short walk from my house, I’ve already had the pleasure of dining there twice, and both times have left my taste buds absolutely amazed. The food is nothing short of incredible—fresh, flavorful, and you can truly taste that homemade touch with every bite.

One of the highlights is their selection of amazing traditional Greek dishes. I tried the Pastitsio, and it was absolutely delicious! I can’t wait to come back and explore even more of their authentic Greek offerings.

The staff at Yianni’s are a shining example of hospitality, always going above and beyond to be welcoming and courteous, which only adds to the diner’s cozy, inviting atmosphere. It’s the kind of place that makes you feel right at home the moment you step inside.

So I ordered online and picked up for breakfast. My order was for Eggs, your choice of meat and home fries. I ordered bacon paid for an extra egg received sausage and only two eggs. Eggs Benedict- expecting Canadian bacon as it is supposed to be on a toasted muffin with poached egg and hollandaise sauce, I received an un-toasted completely soggy English muffin with poached eggs cooked hard topped with 2 slices of bacon and smothered in hollandaise. Not good at all. French toast - was good waffle- good 5 Homefries- good My review is bad because I didn't get what I paid for and some of what I did get wasn't correct. Don't call it eggs Benedict if is eggs done your way. And when I called to have my bill adjusted was told I only ordered 1 egg. I was arguing that indeed I wanted the 2 eggs and paid for 1 extra. I said goodbye and hung up because the person who answered was NOT trying to even be apologetic let alone offer a refund. Do better... just do better! Pros: Prices Open till late (for breakfast place) Cons: Even though menu is big, items we asked are not available which is having big menu doesn’t make sense. Waitress (the one serving us) doesn’t known menu. Walked in and sat at 11:00 am, got our food at 11:50 am. Food presentation on plates are leaving hope for the best (can be easily improved) Every employee looks like having mental breakdowns for not being able to handle full restaurant. “Baklava” stand is empty. I’m not sure if it was full early when they opened but it was clean empty when we walked in. So in total, place is new that’s how I see lack of everything, definitely they will improve in a year.
