Definitely a hidden gem in Castro Valley that I highly recommend if you are craving for Filipino food around the area.
It is of course very convenient for us because we only live a few blocks from it. Everyone is friendly, the service is good, but can take longer when they are very busy, but it is worth waiting. Of course, the food is good! We have been coming here since it opened. What I appreciate more about Dampa compared to other Filipino restaurants is that they continue to improve their food while they try to maintain its reasonable price and quality. Many Filipino restaurants will have great food on its few months of opening but declines as years go by. Prices continue to increase while the taste, quality, and quantity of food declines. Dampa is the opposite.

First, when I ordered on the phone for take out, one order was not available, then the second one also, I commented " what is going on " ? He got annoyed and said, we never had that, and why don't you look at our menu online " .
