Went in to the Castro Valley location around 12:30pm. There was a long line waited for about 25 minutes for them to take my order. When I got to the cash register the manager put a trainee to take orders and he took mine. I specifically asked for a #1 combo. He then asked me “would you like a drink with that?” I replied “no, doesn’t the combo already come with a drink?” He said, “oh yeah my bad”. Then when he gave me the receipt and I checked it & showed he had only charged me for a burger. I called him over and told him that he didn’t write my order correctly and he replied “oh, no worries that was my mistake I’ll put the fries in your order anyway”. Then he went to go ask his manager if it was okay and manager came to me “You are not getting free food you have to pay for it!” I explained to the manager that the cashier had made the mistake and not I & he did not seem to care. After going back and forth and people watching how rude he was being he eventually said “oh okay I’ll fix it for you” and took my receipt away. After waiting for another 20 min for my order they give the wrong order again. I told the manager if he was going fix my order or not and he answered “you have to pay for the food” He tried to embarrass me in front of other customers as if I was asking them for free food when I was just trying to get my order correct. Told him that I had payed for my food and he had taken my receipt. They refused to give my receipt back so I Asked them to give my money back and manger grabbed all my food and drink and threw it in the garbage before answering me if he was going to give me my money back. Read moreAs usual me and my husband love this place and we tend to order a lot from it however, the last two times we have had horrible experience at this place the customer service is far low and it’s not everybody I will specify that there is only this lady, she’s very greedy with the ranch and when I told her there are two orders why are you giving me one ranch she decided to take away my other ranch that she had put in the bag and substitute it with two small ranches I don’t understand why she did that but that seem pretty greedy and unprofessional i’m paying for this food no one is giving it for free anyways no big deal I said to myself my next experience happened just yesterday the another was there lady and greeted me everything was great they gave me the ranch that I asked and great customer service however when we got home and we opened up our vegetarian burger the burger did not taste the best it tasted way different and we would know because we always order this and the cucumbers were extremely sour and soggy and very yellowish color my husband is a chef and he said that usually cucumbers like this shouldn’t be selling on food becauseThey are going bad so my point is please do not disappoint your loyal customers and work on getting a better team or better training for this people I understand this is not a professional workplace but you have a business to run and I would gladly appreciate it if you can hear out my thoughts and my feedback and turn it into something positive this is not to bash the company I will still go to this place however I want to address it so that it can be...
Read moreThe manager (Ulysses? christopher?) took our order and was very rude and uncooperative. We clearly had a birthday redemption for a charburger and he did not honor it. He asked us to pull up the redemption link and click redeem. We had the barcode ready but he proceeded to ask for the remainder of our order. By the time we finished ordering, the phone had screen-locked and when pulled back up the session timed out. He refused to honor the birthday offer, even after showing the original email and redemption dates. We asked for his name and ignored us, and each staff member we asked this information for gave a different name for the manager - Christopher, Ulysses, etc. At the time of pick-up, he tossed the sauces at one of the members in our group. It was definitely not a simple hand-off or playful pass. Whilst helping customers before us, notably of different ethnic background, he was not behaving in this manner so it is very hard for us to rule out discrimination.
While no foul language was exchanged, as a restaurant in a central location of a quiet, friendly, suburban area - this is not acceptable to be so dishonest and rude. It is not enough to have a decent product and the community here is full of regulars. We are long-time lovers of this brand and would quite honestly be shocked if we are the first to bring this to someone’s attention.
