Jocho's Don Chente — Restaurant in Castroville

Talk about a diamond in the rough!

I was starving one night and a quick search showed me this little gem. I headed over to O'Reilly to grab some grub but realized they weren't there that night.

I messaged the number on their website and after a couple short messages the owner called me to take my order. He said they were in a different spot for the night and planning to close up shop early but that he'd message the guys on the truck and have them drop my order off on their way to store the truck for the night.

I got regular updates on timing and just a few minutes later they pulled up with my order, took my payment (and my thanks) and I headed home to chow down.

IT WAS AMAZING!!!! The food here is delicious! The flavors are perfect and the dogs are unbelievably fully loaded. Add to that, the service is incredible, and the guys are awesome.

I'll definitely be back. My new favorite late night...

It was a food truck that come to my apartments. They were really nice and the food seems fresh. Impressive for a hot dog actually. But I thought I was getting beef tacos. It was a hot dog with shredded beef on it. This could have been fine too but they flooded so much ketchup on it that it was to much to scrape off. Again I think the food would be fine but I’d make sure you make it clear what they want and be willing to send it back because it will likely have something your not a fan off. I just don’t send food back because I know what people do to food...

We had Jochos Don Chente cater our baby shower event! Food was really good, the beef tacos were by far my favorite. 🤤 Those salsas were right on, gave the right kick to the tacos. Wasn’t a big fan of the hot dogs, but alot of people loved it. Jochos would’ve gotten a 5 ⭐️ out of me, but I felt like the servers were rushing to leave to the next event 😕 I paid for two full hours, instead they packed my food and left the remainder with us. I get that they have to pack and get ready to travel, but I was also a paying customer. Besides that...
