Race Street Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Catasauqua

This was our first time ordering as we heard great things! We ordered for pick up and the bartender was extremely nice and friendly. We ordered the bacon mushroom burger (medium) chicken fingers, fries, house salad, sweet potato fries, jalapeno poppers, nachos and funnel cake fries. The fries were chewy and cold, the burger was completely burnt on the outside and very pink in the middle which is understandable for a medium cooked burger but the char on the outside was a turn off. The funnel cake fries were amazing! The chicken fingers were mediocre as well as the jalapeno poppers and the nachos were great but the chips seemed a bit stale and not crispy at all. Half way through my meal I realized I didn't take any pictures 🙄. We go there at a sister restaurant called Beef Baron on Catasauqua Rd near the airport. Both places have excellent food. I'm hooked on their Chicken Buffalo Sandwich and sweet potato fries. My companion switches up so it's hard to tell you about his meal....but I'll tell you we've never had a bad meal. Service is great, staff is awesome and we always seem to get lucky enough to get a seat at the bar. We usually go around 4-5 pm. We're older so we like to eat early. If I could give a minus 5 I would! I will never eat here again. We arrived at 5 pm, ordered cocktails (they were good and so was the bartender) and 2 apps. Ordered our mains about 25 minutes later and didn't get them at 5:45 (3 sandwiches don't take that long), didn't get them at 6 (although proprietor said they were being plated - she lied) and finally asked for them to go.
