I just received the worst treatment from Dominos after 40 years of being a loyal Dominos Pizza customer and every bit of it involves the General Manager, Mr Nunez.
Mr. Nunez answered the phone to take my order for two medium hand tossed pizzas with pepperoni and black olives. He told me twice that the order might take an hour and a half and both times I said OK. When he started to repeat the delivery time for the third time I had to cut him off because there was someone at the door, "OMG you asked me that twice already! I gotta go!" and I hung up. A few minutes later the phone rings. Guess who? Yep. Good ol' Mr Nnnez from Domino's! "You hung up abruptly so I had to call you back!" he whined while his voice cracked. I guessed that he was maybe 16 years old perhaps with "little man" issues. I'm a senior citizen in a trailer park 3 blocks away with 1,200 homes. "Thank you!" I exclaimedl totally over him by now, or so I thought. "Will you be paying with cash or credit card?" he asked. "Cash." "Our drivers only carry $20-" I interrupted, "Jeez I pay the driver $21 every time!" $3.60 of which is a tip for the driver. "Well i have to say that to every customer who pays cash. I'm the general manager and so I have to make sure all my crew tell customers that" he lecured. Funny, no other empolyee ever recited that when I phoned orders in before. "Great OK I'm not hanging up abruptly just hanging up," I said and ended the call.
I went online to redeem rewards points I had accrued towards the two pizzas but found the site very user UNfriendly with no help links or other aids. I accidentally ordered the wrong toppings on my pizzas so I reluctantly called the local Dominos. Mr. Nunez answered. The pizzas I ordered earlier were nearly ready but he couldnt give me those because the toppings were different from my online mistake. The money was right, I was getting credit for everything other than the delivery charge, $4.87. It had already been an hour and a half sincwe I phoned in the order and Mr Nunez refused to give me the two medium two-topping pizzas he said were now being removed from the oven because the two toppings were different from the two toppings I had mistakenly ordered, online and would I like to cancel this or that and yada yada yada order and do something else and so I just gave up.
I wound up getting no pizza (It's now 10 PM and I still haven't eaten), losing my rewards credits for one pizza and spending the next hour and a half writing to Dominos and composing this review. And, O yeah, Mr Nunez said I couldn't order from his location anymore.
Boy O boy Mr Nunez you sure showed me who was...
Read moreI called in to Domino's Pizza this evening to order dinner for my children. A gentleman on the phone kept messing up my order and I had to hang up and call back. In the midst of ordering a task for pan pizza. When I went to go pick up my pizza I asked the young lady if my pizza was pan pizza she said no. I told her it was supposed to be and my order was taken wrong can I have it remade. the gentleman who took my order turned out to be the new manager at the Domino's Pizza in Thousand Palms. I was trying not to make a big fuss and I just asked for a third Pizza I requested it to be pan. I've been asked the new manager who would not give his name if I can have all my pizzas come out at the same time. I did not want old pizza that's been underneath the warmer and a new pizza and he said it would take 25 minutes. That 25 minutes will be additional time that the Original Pizza he messed up on with sit underneath their warmer. He told me no I could not have the other two pizzas remade with the additional Pizza that I ordered because there was nothing wrong with the other Pizza. Even though I stressed get the first order will be sitting in extra 25 minutes underneath his warmer. This new manager who would not give his name was very rude and disrespectful. I live in Thousand Palms I often order for my family and my business and I've never been Thousand Palms should have never replaced the old manager. Unsatisfied with my customer service I asked for a number to file a complaint and a refund on my pizza which lead my children to not have dinner for this evening. I'm very appalled at the lack of customer service skills this new manager in Thousand Palms has any needs to...
Read moreIf it weren't for the quality of the pizzas, I would have rated this at the very bottom of the negative scale.
While the food is great, the service at the particular store where the order is completed (located in Thousand Palms Plaza at 72440 Ramon Rd Ste B1, Thousand Palms, CA 92276), is below standard.
However, no reflection on the associates. The employees working there are good but overworked with not enough help. Presumably, because of the ownership.
As we understand it, the above mentioned store is privately owned franchise. It seems the owner either cannot afford, or would not care to hire more people.
Only two employees serving customers orders!!!!!!! At least this was what I was told. On top of it, one of them also makes the deliveries!!!!! Maybe not always, but most of the times, or at times when I ordered pizzas for delivery. Terrible!!!!!
If you like their food, WHICH WE CERTAINLY DO, and do not mind waiting on the phone close to 30 minutes before someone answers it, and also, if you do not mind waiting sometimes up to 1.5 hrs., to get the pizza delivered, then, this is the your store.
Very disappointing at the ownership's disregard for customer service and advocacy by virtue of...
