For starters, the Pepsi I ordered was flat as a board. They brought me another one after minutes messing with the machine and it was exactly the same. Third one was a little better, but nowhere near what a soft drink should be. The charge of my drink was taken off my bill, but I could not enjoy it at all, only had a few sips.
My food was cold, the pancakes were borderline hot enough, but everything else not so much. The egg in my omelette was cold and so were the toppings, which all just fell off. The food was cold, but admittedly tasted good and was bearable to eat with how hungry I already was. That at least deserved an extra star.
I asked for the onion in my omelette to be replaced with diced tomatoes, however I was charged 99 cents for the tomatoes. This is not how things work. It's as simple as reaching in one topping bin instead of the other.
Service was relatively slow, even though the restaurant was pretty much dead at the time. After my Pepsi and it not really being fixed, I wasn't even going to bother with the rest. Consider the 99 cents you charged me to replace onions with tomatoes your tip.
I was reminded why I almost exclusively eat breakfast at Denny's in this town, better service and lower prices for more food. I won't be returning to this location, and IHOP as a whole does now not fair well with me. I have had better experiences in the middle-of-nowhere Kansas.
Had my plates not been on camera and I did not need my receipt code for their survey, I would have likely...
Read moreAs we walked in, there was a host that saw us, as she wasn't helping anyone, and there was no one else in the lobby. I smiled, walked up and told her we had 4 in our party. She did a double check in the seating area as if there wasn't a spot available (there were about 6 tables seated), and then took a minute to look over her sheet to see where we could be seated. She said follow me. We proceeded to follow and then right before she sat as at a booth, she asked if we wanted a table or booth. My wife asked for a table. We sat down and then said, "April will be your server" and walked off. No greeting whatsoever from her during our encounter. April was there within seconds and said, "What do you want to drink?" Hi hi, hello, my name is April, just right to business. Between ordering and receiving our food, which was probably 20 ish minutes (no complaints there, we were busy researching things due to our moving), she never once checked to see if we needed refills on our drinks. When food was served, she asked if we needed hot sauce, and went to get it. During that time, I noticed our ketchup was completely out, so as im closing the cap, I asked her for more. She stole the bottle out of my hands before I could complete the closing of the cap, then ran off.

Read moreFood was amazing, but rest of experience was wack. For some context I work food service and usually have patience for servers, but it was just miss after miss. Firstly we waited to get seated. The reason given was for the kitchen to catch up, but every table I saw had food. Then once we were seated we didn't have the server greet our table to get our drinks for a solid 5 minutes. Food took a while to come out, and only after our food got to the table did we get our silverware and napkins. I had to hunt down the server, who was on her phone next to silverware that was supposed to be being rolled, just to get a drink refill. We also heard her ask pretty loudly to be sent home early. Lastly, when checking out she added a 20% tip without asking. As for the atmosphere tables just weren't bussed or cleaned at all, even though the servers clearly had down time. Toilets were disgusting, both men's and women's. A glance into the kitchen showed it was clean and organized, but it sucks to see such disconnect from how one runs their front of house and their back of house. For the girl asking to get sent home: bus your tables so your dishwasher isn't stuck there all night, keep an eye on your tables, and do your preclose work. If you're going to be on your phone, hide...
