I hate to leave bad reviews but this experience deserves one. The only reason for 3 stars is because the young man working deserves some respect. We stopped here as we were traveling south (as we do several times per year, it’s been our favorite subway to stop at due to the convenience and in the past we haven’t had any issues) there was a young blonde girl who started my order. Long story short, she threw a fit because I had asked for a small amount of mustard (my words “just a tiny small line of mustard”) she proceeded to douse (I’m talking a ridiculous amount) when I told her that I can’t eat that much mustard, she glared at me until the young man said to her “just take the cheese off and do it over” she rolled her eyes at me and proceeded to then throw (yes, throw! My cheese and then lettuce on my sandwich all the while huffing and rolling her eyes) after feeling completely uncomfortable not to mention disgusted by the way my sloppy sandwich looked, I asked her if she could please not treat me that way. She again rolled her eyes and I asked the young man if he could please help me because this girl was just too much. He kindly came over and finished my order. This little girl then stomped off into the back and was throwing things around (you could hear metal and whatever else banging around). I have NEVER been treated like this anywhere in my life. (I have worked my fair share of restaurants , bars and customer service and I have never worked anywhere that this treatment would have been acceptable.) I was appalled by her behavior. I do appreciate the young man for stepping up and being so kind and calm. He really handled it all so well! After leaving I was lost for words but in my thoughts, I did wonder if maybe something terrible had happened to her that day or if this is just her personality. Read moreWhen you walk in to a Subway restaurant you generally know what you're getting yourself in to. You know you're getting an average sub. The quality isn't great, and the service you get will be from people who'd rather be somewhere, anywhere else. They do greet you with a smile, but you know on the inside they are dying.
This location is a bit above-par when it comes to the service. I feel that that may be because jobs are a bit hard to come by around here, so people are happy when they have work. The staff here is always cheery and so nice! Probably my favorite Subway I've ever been to because of the staff.
The food isn't anything special for a Subway restaurant.
However, there is a cleanliness issue. Every time I've been here the beverage station has had fruit flies surrounding it, even in the dead of winter. I'm now convinced that fruit flies are magic and can just appear where there is over-ripe fruit-stuffs, like teas. They hover around the tea dispenser. I don't drink tea, but it's still worrisome that those little buggers are getting in to my drink because there are quite a bit buzzing about.
If this continues to be an issue it may turn me off entirely, but as for right now it just appears to be a cleanliness issue, so my rating could change whether it gets taken care of or not. As for right now, it's just average. I hope someone sees this and corrects it. I'd rather get my protein from my sub instead of drinking fruit flies that...
Read moreI’m not one to normally leave reviews, but my experience was so bad here, I felt that it was necessary to let everyone know about the poor service that is given at this location. My wife and I were out of town and used the app for an online order but accidentally used this location instead of the nearest one to us at the time. Once we realized, the app wouldn’t let us cancel the order so we called. There were two workers there, both of which said that they couldn’t help us and we should call back in the morning when a manager is present. We called the next morning using the same phone number. No answer. We tried using a different number and they answered immediately, suggesting that they told other employees to not answer if this number calls. When we were talking to them, we asked for the manager and the girl we talked to said there was still no manager there. Although this girl that we were working with was very kind and helpful, she was unable to give us the refund due to her not being a manager. She told us the manager would call us. He never did. We called again from both numbers and they never answered us. To conclude, we never got the refund and we will never support this location again. The service and the management is among the worst that I have ever received from any business. I recommend that anyone who wants to eat Subway in Cedar City goes to another location to receive...
